Mission statement

To achieve and sustain Leadership in Management Education, Research, Consultancy and Development

We at FORE lay great emphasis on summer internships as we strongly believe that practical learning is as important as academic learning. We also ensure that the students get an opportunity to carry out a good research project in different organizations by seeking guidance from the corporate guide as well as from the faculty guide.

The summer internships reinforce the knowledge of concepts in the minds of the students which help them to apply it in the real world scenario. For the same reason, we also encourage the students to take up live projects and research activities with leading public and private sector organizations.

We are very thankful to the corporate world for their support in engaging our high proficiency students. Our students have received appreciation and certificates for good performance during their summer internship. The number of PPOs offered to our students has increased over the years.

The 2012-14 PGDM and PGDM (International Business) batches are ready for 8 weeks of Summer Internship Program commencing from April, 2013.

Summer Internship Program offers a great source of learning to our first year students. It helps them in getting exposure to the real business world and gain valuable experience in the industry pertaining to their field of study. Both private and public sector companies have engaged our high proficiency students for summer training. Many a time these internships end up as PPOs for our students.

Summer Presentation

Summer Internship Program (SIP) is an integral part of the course curriculum for the students of PGDM and PGDM (International Business) at FORE. SIP is a full time engagement of students with a corporate establishment for a period of 8 weeks in the months of April-May every year.

It enables the companies to outsource their short term projects and other research activities to the young, knowledgeable and motivated minds fresh from Business Schools. These enthused students provide quality work at nominal cost to the companies.

During SIP, companies get an opportunity to observe the students at close quarters and spot talent early. This way they do not get to compete with the other organizations to cherry pick the creative minds with the fire in their belly.

In other words, Summer Internship Program (SIP) also provides a mentoring platform to the corporate where they get to train the future managers.

Hence, SIP is a great mechanism for the students to engage and evaluate interesting industry segments and engineering their resources to make a pitch for a pre-placement offer (PPO).

The process of sip comprises of the following stages:• The company conducts a Pre-Placement Talk from October onwards.• Registrations are facilitated from interested students based on the company’s requirements.• The registrations are then shared with the company alongwith the resumes.• The company conducts Group Discussion/Interview either on-campus or off-campus.• Offers are made to the students on the basis of their performance in the Group Discussion/Interview through

the Institute.

This year, Summer Internship for the students will effectively begin from April 08, 2013 and it will be for 8 weeks.

After the completion of the Summer Internship the students are required to submit the Internship report to the Institute alongwith the company feedback. Thereafter, the students are evaluated based on the presentations of their Summer Internship projects.
