Prefabricated corners made of polimeric bituminous membrane

DescriptionThe bituminous prefabricated corners are made by hot folding of a unique piece of bituminous membrane with composite reinforcement. The main advantage is the total melting to the waterproofing sheet allowing flexibility during installation, which will give a total waterproofing guarantee on the most risky points.

Roof Drain (dropper) made of TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer’s) with a 170mm spigotManufactured of a special compound of thermoplastic rubber, it is highly resistant against low temperatures (‘cold flexibility down to -40°) as well as perfectly compatible with all sorts of bituminous waterproofing membrane. One Way Vent - Torch on one way vent - 60mm

DescriptionThe One Way Vent is a moisture relief device consisting of a two-piece polyethylene vent that allows moisture vapour to escape out of the roof deck system without allowing moisture to enter through the vent.

UsesOne Way Vents are most commonly used in re-roofing applications. Blisters caused by internal moisture in “old” roofing systems may be prevented or reduced by using One Way Vents.

One Way Vents allow for continual release of vapour from within the system, while maintaining the watertight integrity from the outside.

Pressure Seal Flashing

DescriptionAluminium strips for sealing and flashing the edge of sheet membranes.

UsesParchem Pressure Seal Flashing is used to seal and flash the edge of Index torch applied bituminous membrane range of products and Emer-Proof HDPE and HD self-adhesive sheet membranes.

The flashing strip is mechanically fixed, (with 150mm spacing between fixings), with the top edge sealed with a high performance, flexible sealant such as Emer-Seal MS or bituminous mastic, such as Nitoseal MB175 (formally Plastiseal).

DescriptionExtruded aluminium strips designed specifically for sealing and flashing the edge of Index torch applied sheet membranes and Emer-Proof HDPE and HD self-adhesive sheet membranes.

This pressure seal was designed in-house at Parchem for the specific purpose of sealing off the Index bituminous torch applied membrane range and Emer-Proof HDPE and HD range of self-adhesive sheet membranes.

Helasto-ring

Plastic support ring for concrete pavers with leveling adjustment

UsesHelasto-ring is designed to be easily divided into fractions:

�� �For the row of slabs adjacent to the surrounding wall, the half ring is used

�� �For the slabs at the angle, the fourth ring is used

�� �To set the three slabs on an external angle, the three quartes ring is used

The leveling disk is a Helasto-ring accessory that is applied Iike a wedge, in order to stabilise the slabs that are not sufficiently flat, or when the surface is irregular.

Generally it is used in quarters and put between the Helasto-ring and the corner of the unstable slab.

In terraces that are not exactly multiples of the slab measurements, the row touching the surrounding wall must be cut, or, as in the case of smaller measurements, the free space between the floor and the projecting part can be fllled with pebbles. The drainholes are installed at the waterproofing blanket level and furnished with a flat leaf filter.

The joints between the slabs are not to be filled. They should be left free to promote rapid water drainage. For flooring to be installed over heat insulation, the insulatlng material should have a compressive strength superior to 2 kg/cm².

DescriptionConcrete terraces cast directly onto waterproofing blanket can cause considerable problems.

During the day the paving, heated by the sun, expands; at night, when the sun’s heat ceases, the paving cools and therefore contracts.

This alternating movement, which is concentrated along the expansion joints of the floor, is transmitted then to the underlying waterproofing blanket, damaging it through fatigue.

To eliminate this problem it is necessary to isolate the floor the floor from the waterproofing underneath.

Index has resolved this problem with Helasto-ring, a plastic mounting for square paving slabs in precast concrete.

With Helasto-ring, the pavement does not touch the waterproofing blanket, but is separated from it by a hollow space; in this way, the pavement can expand and contract without damaging the water-tight blanket.

Helasto-ring is simply dry set onto the waterproofing. To install the square paving slabs on the supporting Helasto-rings, it is enough to set the slabs at the four angles of the ring and push them against the spacer; once the first row is measured and set, the successive ones follow as a consequence.

Helasto-ring can be set on multilayer bituminous waterproofing, on bituminous sheathing waterproofing or on synthetic sheet waterproofing.

The floor is completely precast. It is dry set; mortar is not needed. It can be installed in any season. Specialised workmen are not needed. And it is without joints in that they are already included in the storing mounting.

The slabs are only resting in place, and in case of repairs to the waterproofing blanket, it is not necessary to damage the floor; it is sufficient to raise a few of the square slabs to carry out the maintenance.

Puddles can no longer form since rainwater runs directly to the drains between the open joints and the square slabs.
