Theorem

Suppose L is an extension of S4 with fmp. Then the

following conditions are equivalent:

(1) L arises from a subalgebra of R+.

(2) L is the logic of a path-connected quasiorder.

(3) L is the logic of a connected space.

(4) L is a logic of a connected Closure Algebra.

Corollary: All logics extending S4.1 with the finite model

property arise from a subalgebra of R+.
