Nature of IT1004

� Objective: To provide an overview of e-commerce and its basic concepts

� Intended audience: 1st-year undergraduates with no prior e-commerce background

� What to expect:

� Descriptive in nature, lots of reading required

� Case-study type of tutorials, some in-class exercises

� Much interaction during lecture – you may be called to answer questions.

Tutorial case presentation

� There are 4 tutorial cases for the semester.

� See TutBriefing.pdf in IVLE Readme folder.

� 4 teams will be formed during the 1st tutorial �

must come to the 1st tutorial

� Teams will draw-lots on a case to present. See

TutBriefing.pdf for the schedule.

� ALL students should prepare for each tutorial so that

you can participate in the discussion.

� The case presentation comprises 10% of your total

grade.
