1. Are you optimistic or pessimistic about the future of the world?

- I worry (I worry much, I worry a lot, I am worried, I am very worried) about the future of

the world.

- The first reason:

o There are many industrial zones in the city, but they dont have wastewater

processing system. So they discharge wastewater into rives or lakes. They make

the source of water polluted. We run out of fresh water to drink.

- The second cause:

o People cut down trees to build houses, and to get wood. Even some people destroy

the forest for economic purposes. They explore the natural resource illegally.- The third cause:

o The population is biger and biger. There are too many vehicles in the street. They

discharge harmful smoke into atmosphere. We dons have enough fresh air to

breathe.

- The government should create jobs for poor people so that they dont destroy the forest

for economic purposes.

- The government should improve peoples awareness of the importance of the

environment.- The government should fine industrial zones a lot of money if they dont have waste water

- Many people risk losing their jobs. They can not support themselves let alone their

families.

cant earn money to support themselves. They work hard all day (from early in the

morning till late in the evening.

- They dont have a lot of money to pay a bit of land.

- Some people have to do illegal things to earn money (their living).

- Their children dont have condition to go to school.

- They have to live in poverty day after day (year after year).

Someone think that:

- They have a comfortable material life.

everywhere they like and they can buy (afford to buy) expensive things.

But in my opinion / but personally I think:

- I want to earn enough money to support myself and my family.

- All family members have good health, they love, help and respect one another.

- I think that, I dont need to have a lot of money to have happiness. In reality, some people

are very rich but they never feel happy because they are over ambitious.

I think that to have happiness, we should be pleased with our present lives, we will find

happiness from what we have.

Good points of mobile phone

Thank to mobile phone, our life became easier.- We can easily keep in touch with one another every time and every where.

- We can get information quickly.

- It is convenient for us to contact one another on case of emergency.

- We dont have to go a long way to meet one another.

- We can discuss our works (solve our problems) on the phone.

- It is also a form of entertainment. We can listen to music, play games, watch films, take

photographs, access the Internet, read newspaper (news) on Internet

Although mobile phone brings us a lot of benefit, however, using mobile phone also has somebad points:

- We have to spend a lot of money using mobile phone every month.

- Some people have abused mobile phone, so it badly affect their health.

- They dont frequently visit one another, so their relationship become worse.

- Sometime, we cant solve problem effectively on the phone. We need face to face

conversation.

- Its annoying when someone dial the wrong number.

- In the city, we have a lot of chances of jobs.

- A lot of companies, specially foreign companies invest in big cities.

- In the city, there are a lot of high quality school and famous universities, where we can get

good education.

- Most hospitals are well equipped, doctors and nurses are trained well, so we can get goodhealth care.

- There are a lot of center entertainment for you to relax after a busy day of work.

- In the city, the environment is polluted because there is to much traffic, the population is

big, the security is not good.

- There are many social evil.

- The cost of living is extremely high, life become difficult for poor people (people of low

income).- They have to work hard all day and all night to earn money to support their family.

- They have to work under high pressure.

- Because of the over population, the accommodation is a big problem for city people. Its

not easy to buy a piece of land.

To solve the housing problem in the city:

- The government should create conditions for people of low income to find accommodation

by renting houses to them at a low price.

- To reduce the environmental pollution.

* Positive effects of tourism

- The local people can earn more money from working in center for tourists.

- They can work in better conditions.

- He have chances to exchange their cultures with foreign tourists.

- Local people can introduce the images of city (country) to foreign tourists

* Negative effects of tourism

- When there are too many tourists, there will be more social evils

- Trees are cut down to build centers for tourists, therefore tha landscape is spoilt.

- Many places can lose traditional jobs.

- Shouldnt be forced children to work hard to earn money because some reasons:

- They are still too young (not old enough) to go to work to earn money.

- They dont have a good health

- They have the right to go to school and to get a good education

- They have the right to enjoy their childhood and join (take part in) activities for children

- They should be look afer well (taken good care of) by their parents

- If they have to go to work to earn money, they will miss chances of good education- Without a good education they will not find stable jobs (good job) easily, they wont have

bright future

- They wont feel confident and they will feel inferior (mc cm) to their friends.

- Working hard may be badly effect their physical health

- Finally, forcing children to work hard is against the law

* Does university education guarantee a good job?- At a university, we can get useful knowledge which can be applied in our work

- When you graduated from university you can feel confident in life and you have a lot of

good life skill

- Most work require people to have good knowledge (professional skills), which you can get

from university.

- Qualification (University degrees) is very important to find jobs. In Vietnam, qualification

are still highly appreciated

- At university you can make friend with a lot of good people, who will be successful in life

late, they will help us find good jobs.

- We become very active and they can easily adapt to the changes in the working

environment

* What changes would you like to make in Vietnamese education system? Consider the

following:

+ Change in assessment

+ Change in testing students (should university exam be replaced with another ways

of testing)

+ I think that we shouldnt replace university exam with another ways because:

- University exam will help classify students

- It is still considered the most objective exam.

- Students can choose to go to the university they like.

- The pressure is too much for student to stand

- The government have to spend a big amount of money organizing this exam.
