THE STRENGTH OF DESIGNDESIGN & ERGONOMICS
Operating principleAt compressor outlets, the air is warm and saturated with moisture. The role of a dryer is to remove this moisture before it adversely affects the use of downstream equipment. In order to effectively meet this need, CHAUMECA has designed the TopAze, a dryer based on the temperature swing adsorption process (pressure dew point up to -70°C/flows of 400 to 8,800 m3/h*). * permissible nominal flow rate for operation at 7 bar and 35°C with inflow conditions of 20°C – Atmospheric pressure.

Compressed air dryingMore than a simple air dryer, the TopAze offers you guaranteed performance thanks to its flexibility and ability to adapt to the most demanding environments.
Air is dried by passing it through activated alumina, an adsorbent product, which will retain the moisture by temporarilly trapping the water molecules on its surface.
In order to restore the activated alumina’s adsorbent capacity, it must be freed of this moisture by a regeneration phase.
RegenerationAfter drying the air, the TopAze moves on to a heating cycle to release the water from the alumina. Pulsed cooling with the dry air produced (or ambient air in order to preserve the speed of your process - see the proposed versions) allows the activated alumina’s adsorbent capacity to be restored.
In order for your dryer to be more effective, we offer you the opportunity to tailor your TopAze to your environment and your requirements (depending on the packs and options available).
AdsorptionA property that certain solids (adsorbents) have to trap gases (adsorbates) on their surface. The use of this technology allows an outcome to be achieved that is tailored to your needs, in terms of air flow and dew point (from -20°C to -70°C under pressure).
