As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to devastate communities around theworld, Emory faculty members and health care providers are collaboratingwith Emory’s Science Gallery Atlanta to host a virtual program on the“Science of Grief”, a multi-dimensional exploration of loss, hope, andcreativity during this crisis.

graduate Naomi Newton, will appear in the webcast. The event is expected tobe the first of an ongoing web series.

The Science of Grief will run on April 29, from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm ET. TheEmory hour will be approximately at 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm ET. It can be viewedon Science Gallery Dublin’s YouTube page during that time frame and after.

IMPORTANT UPDATES

Faculty tenure clock extensionIn recognition of the significant disruptions for faculty resulting from the shiftto remote learning, travel restrictions, and the ramp-down of on-sitelaboratory research due to COVID-19, the Board of Trustees has approved aone-year extension of the tenure clock for all pre-tenure faculty. This willapply to everyone on an opt-out basis and will not prevent other requests forextension.
