• Different music channels broadcast certain types of music, for instance KERRANG is a rock genre music channel so therefore you wouldn’t see a Justin Bieber song being played on that channel. Each different channel is known for the music they play, pop songs/r’n’b songs would be expected to be played on MTV or viva, Flava would play rap songs or the ‘fresh r’n’b’. This means that the audience will know what channel to watch depending on what type of music they like.

What Channels would you broadcast your music video?

• I would broadcast my music video on certain channels to suit the type of music. My music video is a pop genre so I would broadcast it on MTV, 4 Music and viva. I wouldn’t broadcast my music video on a channel like Kerrang because that is mainly for the rock genre.
