Top Paint Colors for the Bathroom

A bathroom might not be a place you spend a lot of time, like a bedroom or a kitchen, but it is a place where you spend some time and chances are it’s also a place where you go to relax, unwind, and feel better. Because of this, it’s important to incorporate colors into this room that are happy, relaxing, peaceful and more. Whatever you use your bathroom for, chances are white walls, white floors, and white toilets/sinks/tubs are not exactly what you had in mind. Creating a well-balanced bathroom in terms of colors can be a difficult feat for some people, though, which is why you will find a nice little guide below to help you pick out paint colors. And if you need additional help contact a bathroom painter in New Jersey for assistance. Residential house painters in NJ have years of experience in bathroom design and painting.

Behr

Left Wall- Applesauce 350C-3

Back Wall- Banana Cream 350C-2

Baseboards- Vermont Cream W-B-400

Out of ALL the brands of paints available, Behr is one that most everyone has heard of. They are easy to paint on and they are wall-friendly - and available at stores like Home Depot and Lowes. This is sort of a Wistful Whimsy bathroom. The paint colors are bold and yet welcoming and warm, and the back wall and left wall (accented with a really

unique claw foot tub) are just the perfect relaxing look that a bathroom needs. Add in creamy off white baseboards and you create a really traditional and classic look.

Benjamin Moore

Underneath the Cover Coat- Fresh Start Primer

Walls- Aura Matte 522 in Feather Gray, 2127-60

Trim- Aura Semi-Gloss 528 in Wedding Veil, 2125-70

Another huge name in paint, BM describes these colors as being tranquil and serene, perfect for the bathroom if you like to unwind after work, take a bath, or just relax. Note: This is definitely not for people that like big bold colors, its primarily neutral and lighter colors, but the walls have an almost blue undertone to them. It’s very little, hard to see in pictures, but once it’s on your wall its sort of obvious why this color fits so well - it has a very light blue water look to it.

Valspar

Wall color (Burnt Brick, EB37-4)

Wainscot (Vanilla Bean, EB25-3)

This look is very different from the one above. In fact, if the above colors were yin, this would be yang. It has an almost outdoorsy, cabin,

lodge feel to it. The burnt brick on the walls is really deep and alluring and looks good in any type of light - artificial or natural. Add in the lighter vanilla bean, which is the mix between a creamy white and a tan khaki and you have two colors that were absolutely made for each other. These colors also seem to match just about any style, even modern, by adding a few materials like wood, stainless steel or marble to the mix.

Walls- High Spirits C20-4

Chair Rail/Bead board and Trim- White C3-4

If you want to add sophistication and class to a powder room or any bathroom for that matter, these two colors go fantastic with each other. The walls, which feature a sort of yellow soft color make the room sunny, but not overwhelmingly bright, and the wainscot and chair rail are white. It might not seem like much, but what matters here, is the accents you add - deep dark woods go really well with these two colors. Consider adding a medicine cabinet with dark wood, an open cabinet to place bath salts and towels on and a roll down dark brown wooded window treatment. Once you add in all of this you will no longer be surprised as to WHY this is such a popular look!

These colors are some of the best, trendiest and most well-matched color schemes around. Hopefully, you saw one you really loved. if you do need more advice, though, another thing to think about is hiring an interior painter in New Jersey to come in, you can show them the room or rooms you want to be painted, give them an idea of maybe what tones or colors you want to go with, and they can make a few suggestions - as well as do the paint job for you like a professional.
