Top Horror (2000 – 2013)

This list is outright thievery, and has been done before by Hollie Horror. So check out hers before you dig

into mine.

These are the most memorable horror movies I've seen recently, they may not all be perfect masterpieces

though. I've revised the list to keep it up to date.

Some thrillers may have slipped in, but I'm trying to avoid horror comedies and TV shows. In the latter, I

think The Walking Dead is the best thing to happen to the zombie genre since 28 Weeks Later.

I think zombie films have gotten ridiculous and the people are cashing in on their popularity just likepeople were cashing in on the popularity of slashers in the 1980s. It's time they let these poor zombiestake a god damn breather.

They are spitting them out left and right, that's sadly true. Hard to find new ideas in an ocean ofrepetitiveness, that's the part that bothers me - it's almost always the same movie, with a slightlydifferent scenario. I've written off most zombie films as trash, which is even more sad (how are we toknow if any are good?). I did like Pontypool quite a lot though (if you can call that a zombie film).

This list contains a lot of good films, and some really bad ones (Cry Wolf, When A Stranger Calls,

Halloween, Halloween II, Diary of the Dead, and Paranormal Activity).

I'm afraid I see only good movies in this list. Alright, When A Stranger Calls isn't FANTASTIC, butI've always liked it. Same for Halloween and Cry_Wolf.

Dahmer is not that good. It's totally not accurate to his life and it doesn't scare THAT much. I think it'sjust worth watching if you're into real life serial killer movies.

It's not completely accurate but I thought it had an eerie vibe to it and Renner made for a good

Compared to Ted Bundy, the movie Dahmer is really inaccurate and not scary. That's just my opinion.But it's worth a watch. And okay, the fact that some things actually happened and stuff, that may bethe scariest thing, but just because it's based in real life, i guess.

I strongly disagree with you about The Walking Dead being a good thing, I think it was the worstpossible thing to ever happen, not only is a terrible tv show that ruined the perfect story from the comicbooks but it also opened doors to a neverending wave of terrible productions and a ridiculously boringtrend of Zombies in pop culture.

Urgh, Murder-Set-Pieces. American Nazi butcher with parent issues *cringe*.Valentine though! That's just awesome.. granted it's not an amazing film, it's one most people don'tknow about.

You generally have some that I freaking love, and some that I passionately hate all together in one big

horror mash.

It was hard to forget, that's why it's on the list. Yeah, Valentine is so underrated! Really a perfectmodern slasher in many ways, it has everything.

That's what I suspected, I often clash with people, so watch at your own risk. I'm glad to see justabout anything though, even if I don't like it that's another movie to avoid, haha.

There's another few I don't like all that much, but they won't make me as violent as those six listedabove ;)

I see. Scream 4 is the only one out of those I really truly like a lot. I was disappointed by the endingthough, no innovation.

I won't go on and yap about the rest. :)

I don't like any of the Scream sequels, so it's nothing new from my part. The 5th will most likely alsosuck...Unless they somehow manage something entirely different and fresh. Imagine that.
