Top Bedroom Colors for Girls When people think of a boy’s room, they think of a blue color – most people think of pink for a girl’s room. But, if pink is the only color on your mind, you are really missing out on a lot of other color options. Also, pink tends to be a really feminine color, so if you have yourself a tom boy that likes to climb trees, play baseball, or loves to swim she might not love pink as much as you think she does. Beyond just asking her, here are also a few other colors for paint on the walls and color schemes you might want to think about before choosing pink right off the bat (no pun intended!). Limeade – Lime Green In this specific sample, lime green might seem a little too bright, right? Well thankfully its not. In fact, it’s downright bright in a good way and pretty too. The owner of the house started with a comforter that their daughter really loved. It’s a patch quilt in blocks of colors using white, lime green (but a tad darker), purple and yellow. Because their daughter liked the comforter so much, they decided to take colors from that comforter, such as the lime green and purple and added accents along the way. The main color of the wall is a lime green with matching white wood work – which has a really clean look to it. The rest of the room has furnishings like an ottoman with a lavender base and a patch quilted top. Other various colors are spread throughout such as a flower mural painted on the wall – white flowers, with blue stems and leaves. It’s quite feminine, without using one ounce of pink!

Top Bedroom Colors for Girls

When people think of a boy’s room, they think of a blue color – most people think of pink for a girl’s room. But, if pink is the only color on your mind, you are really missing

out on a lot of other color options.

Limeade – Lime Green

In this specific sample, lime green might seem a little too bright, right?

Flower Lover

Speaking of flowers, they are quite feminine and most girls love flowers. In this example they used a sort of peach paint on the wall. On the top part of the wall, they took stencils and painted different colors and shapes of flowers like red tulips, purple roses, magenta daisies, etc. The bottom part of the wall is stripes – it has the background of the wall being that peach paint and then the stripes are a very light color of pink. Added throughout the room are other instances of flowers, such as the comforter on the bed, the curtains on the windows and more. Over all, it’s pretty enough to be a girls room, but grown up enough to fit any age. For help with wall design and painting you can talk to an interior painter in Cobble Hill. A Cobble Hill house painter can give you many choices when it comes to the paint color and design of a girl’s bedroom!

Brilliant Bright Yellows

if you really want to go to the opposite of pink, why not try yellow? Yellow tends to lift spirits, it brightens a room up, and it can instantly make you feel happy inside. Here the walls are divided into 5 different parts – the ceiling was a sort of dumbed down orange

yellow. The first layer on the wall up at the top is a thin white stripe that goes all the way around the room. Then, a strip of thin wallpaper that has a golden yellow background with cute little flowers on it. Then, the same color that was used on the ceiling is used again on the next level with another thin stripe. Then, white again. The very last part of the wall, which takes up about ¼ of the wall, is again the flower wallpaper with the cute little flowers. It sounds busy, but they added just the right amount of stripes versus wallpaper and paint and it has a really cool, bright, sunny demeanor to it!

Modern Vibes

if you have a modern home, chances are you would prefer if your kid’s room also matched the rest of the home. Well, this is definitely one to consider and ask your daughter if she would like. It’s different. It’s not pink. And it’s got a modern twist to it. The walls are all covered in a really pretty sherbet orange. Then, the flooring, which is carpeted, includes a throw rug in a pretty ocean blue color. The bed has a neutral colored sheet set but its added color comes from the throw blanket which is also orange with flowers on it and accent pillows which are all funky shapes with polka dots. Behind the bed they added these plastic rings of assorted colors, and sizes. Add in a free standing

closet in white, a few little details like a white lamp with a green shade or a white vase with orange polka dots on it and you have a really warm, inviting and amazingly hip room any girl would love!
