Valentino Garavani

Valentino Garavani was born May 11, 1932 in Voghera, Italy. He studied Fre

and fashion design at the Academia dell Arte in Milan, in preparation for his

move to Paris. In Paris he Worked as assistant designer to Jean Desses and G

Laroche. In 1960 he returned to Italy, and established hi company in Rome.

1962 he presented his collection in Florence. In 1965, he received the Neima

Marcus Award, and during the rest of the 1960s,Valentino would gain

international fames. He is known best for his meticulous detailing and

magnificent embroidery. The perfection of luxury in Valentino is never

ostentatious, but rather a very strong yet discreet appeal of shade stolen fro

Calvin Klein

Calvin Richard Klein was born on November

19, 1942, in the Bronx, New York, where he

spent all of his childhood. He was the second

baby out of three born to Flo and Leo Stern.

His grandmother was seamstress and hereceived all of his love of sewing from her. His

mother encouraged his love for art and

fashion. Klein attended the High School of Art

and Design, which prepared students for

careers in advertising and drafting. As a youth,

while others his age were playing sports or

video games, he was busy studying, sketching

fashion designs, and sewing. Later he moved

on to the esteemed Fashion Institute of

technology and successfully graduated in

1962.

Dontella Versaces brother, who was a Fashion Designer, Gianni Versace was born in 1964 in Reggio di Calabria, Italy he

became a victim when he was brutally murdered on July 16, 1997. Following his death, she became Vice Chairman and Style

and Image Director of the House ofVersace. She was born May 2, 1955, in Reggio di Calabria, Italy. A very famous fragrance

she launched was Versace Woman. Not only does she create fashion, she produces accessories, home furnishings, and

hotels. She studied fashion at Central Saint Martins and her niece followed her and also attended Central Saint Martins for

fashion. She was married and had two children but later divorced former model Paul Beck. She still is creating the most

abstract fashions and is continuing to do a phenomenal job!
