Fuel pressure tester

Intended for testing all conventional fuel injection systems.This test instrument enables a precise check of the fuel pump, system-pressure regulator and the tightness. Calibrated manometer with bar/psi double scale 0–2 bar/0–30 psi, especially for central injections; 0–10 bar/0–150 psi for all other systems. Compact quick couplers on all adapters and hoses. Delivery in a special case/toolbox, with detailed instructions for measuring the various systems. Fuel Pump Tester

This device is designed for testing the function and tightness of electric fuel pumps in a simple way, independent of the vehicle. Pump units, feed pumps as well as in-tank and in-line-pumps can be tested.For trade, service and workshops.

Auxiliary equipment for dismantling/mounting fuel pump 7.22013.02.0 for the BMW model range 5 (E39) and 5 (E39) Touring (except M5 and diesel engines).

With this cost-effective and environmentally safe solution, it is no longer neces-sary to replace the complete fuel pump with its bracket – only the fuel pump itself is replaced.

Testing cable for PIERBURG air mass sensor (AMS)

With his testing cable, the function of PIERBURG air mass sensors 7.18221.51.0 and 7.18221.58.0 can be easily tested on vehicles with 1.9 SDI/TDI and 2.5 TDI engine.The connection is established between the air mass sensor and the respective cable connector on the wire harness.The two exposed bushes are intended for connecting a standard measuring device.

The replacement of series-mounted air mass sensors is rendered more diffi cult due the use of special screws (5-tooth or 6-tooth star-type inserts) with a centre pin.

“KS Plastic Gauge” plain bearing measuring tape

Enables swift and accurate checking of the bearing clearance on cross-divided plain bearings. It is especially well suited for checking the clearance of crank-shaft main bearings, conrod bearings and camshaft bearings on the engines of passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

“KS Plastic Gauge” is a thin, calibrated plastic strip which is inserted into the oil-free bearing position to measure the bearing clearance. When the bearing cap is tightened, the width of the strip is contracted. After loosening and removing the bearing cap, the resulting width of the plastic strip and conse-quently the bearing clearance can be determined with the aid of the enclosed reference scale.

The bearing clearance can be read in mm and inch. Measuring range: 0.025 to 0.5 mm

Installation tool for valve stem seals

These tools protect the sensitive sealing lips of the valve stem seals from being damaged during installation. Prior to fi tting the valve stem seals, the installation tools are pushed over the valve stem. The seal can be pushed onto the valve stem using the tool. Consequently, the seal can no longer be damaged by the edges of the fastening grooves which may be very sharp. Recommendation: Fitting the seal is easier if oil is used as an anti-seize agent.

Subsequent to the machining and cleaning of cylinder head, there are frequently impurities in the valve guides that must be removed prior to assembling the valves. Piston installation sleeves

Piston installation sleeves ensure the easy, safe and quick fi tting of pistons. The installation sleeves have a conical form on the inside. As a result, the piston rings are automatically compressed to the cylinder dimension when the piston is inserted in the cylinder. Fitting errors and piston ring fractures can be reliably avoided. Highly recommended because of the great time-saving factor whenever pistons with the same diameter are mounted frequently.

KS diamond honing stones for machining aluminium cylinder bores

Plastic-bound diamond honing stones on metal bed. For the professional fi ne machining of aluminium cylinder sliding surfaces with perfect machining results. Honing stone dimensions LWD: 80 mm x 5 mm x 6 mm, thickness of metal bed 3 mm, temperature-resistant up to max. 80°C, fastening of the honing stones on a stone carrier by clamping or gluing.

Note:When machining, at least 4 of these honing stones are required for

each honing tool. Commercial honing oil can be used as cooling lubricant. The special composition of the diamond honing stones is designated for machining aluminium silicon alloys. They are not suitable for grey cast iron or other ferrous materials.

KS Silicon exposing strips for machining aluminium cylinder bores

Exposing strips with abrasive particles of silicon carbide bound in a porous plastic body. For mechanical exposure and rounding of silicon crystals on ALUSIL® and LOKASIL® cylinder surfaces. Using the exposing strips ensures ideal and safe machining results. At least 4 of these stones are needed per honing tool. Commercial honing oil can be used as cooling lubricant.

Honing stone dimensions LWD: 80 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm, temperature-resistant up to max. 80 °C, the attachment of the honing stones on a stone holder is only possible by gluing.

Honing brushes for plateau honing for grey cast iron cylinder bores

Honing brushes are made of nylon bristles covered with silicon crystals and are used for plateau honing grey cast iron cylinder bores. As a result of using the stones, the material peaks formed on the cylinder surface during honing are removed in the course of the last honing procedure. The cylinder surface is smoothed and the graphite veins cleaned.

The honing plateau thus formed shortens the running-in time of pistons, piston rings and cylinders, reduces the frictional resistance between cylinder wall and piston rings and contributes to improved performance, lower fuel consumption and reduction of oil consumption.

Note : At least 10 strokes should be carried out using honing oil. In order to

achieve optimum results, the direction of rotation of the honing machine should be reversed after half the machining time has elapsed. The cylinder diameter is reduced by between 0.001 and max. 0.01 mm as a result of hone-brushing.
