TOMTOM GLOBAL GEOCODER

A full service web application providing both one-off geocoding, or file based batch geocoding. This application makes “calls” to our Geocoding Service (API) on the backend. The TomTom Global Geocoder (TTGG) is an account-based application, where Company Administrators are provided with User Management and Reporting tools. This web application can be utilized by the non-technical user within your business or is preferred for those businesses who are not creating their own mobile or web applications.

• TTGG pricing is a geocode credit based model priced at a rate per 1,000 geocodes. The pricing is based on volume bands; the more credits requested within the contract year, the less you pay.

• The application requires geocodes to be “credited” to an account before a customer can begin using the application.

• The system will keep track of the remaining credits on an account. If the customer runs out of credits prior to the close of the contract year, they may purchase additional credits using our eCommerce functionality through the Buy Credits web pages.

• The application pricing is based on successful geocode match and we do not charge for failed matches. For one-off geocoding, users will be charged one geocode credit for every address query submitted (by selecting the geocode button), regardless of the number of match geocode candidates returned. In addition, for file batch geocoding users are not charged for city, state, or country match precision levels.

TOMTOM GEOCODING API

Accessed via an API key through the TomTom Developer Portal. This service allows requests to be made to our geocoding service as individual or batch method calls. URL web requests can be made as XML, JSON, or JSONP formats.

a) Individual Request (Single call) – One address record is called via

a http GET request and will return up to 20 response candidates in

order of best match. Single calls will allow for both structured and

free text queries.

b) Batch Request (Batch call) - Submitted as a set of 100 address

records in one URL web request, using an http POST call. Batch

calls will allow for structured queries only and will return the best

match.

• The Geocoding API is also based on a tiered transaction model based on the number of estimated geocodes for the contract year. Priced at a rate per 1,000/calls (requests)

• Minimum fee commitment with monthly billing based on usage, once minimum has been met.

• Pricing is based on successful API calls (not geocode match).

• Singles calls = 1 geocode and Batch calls = 100 geocodes

• Batch calls are 100 times the price of a single call
