‘The Best Drummer I’ve Ever Seen’

Tom is a UK based session drummer and drum educator. He has been teaching drums professionally for over 10 years and playing for 15 years. He studied Popular Music at West Kent College in Tonbridge before going on to tutor a handful of private students under the name of T.O.M Drum Tuition. The number of students kept growing so Tom decided it was time to step up the content of the lessons by writing a unique syllabus and coming up with a name for it. DrumWise has been going strong ever since with approximately 60 students a week and a 100% exam pass rate.

For 3 years, Tom lectured on the music course at West Kent College in instrumental skills, rhythm reading/playing and sectional & group band rehearsals. Tom also currently runs a Drum Corps marching band club at one of his secondary schools.

Steven Anderson-Howard – Yuck Indie

Tom is currently a member of two bands: Heel & The Megadudes. Heel have recently supported Feeder and Funeral For A Friend and did a two week headline tour of Japan.

As a session player Tom has worked with a variety of artists/bands including: Anastacia, H-Boogie (Get Far), Ben’s Brother, Mikee Goodman (SiKth) and has worked with various record companies and producers including: Island Records, Universal Records, Real World Records, Kittiwake Records, Arclite Productions, Robin Baynton (Coldplay, Tom Jones, Nightwish), Alan Bleay (KT Tunstall, The Kooks, Cerys Matthews, Kasabian, The Magic Numbers), Justin Hill (SikTh) and John Hannon (Hundred Reasons).

Tom has studied with some of the country's top educators and drummers including: Craig Blundell, Colin Woolway & Boris Le Gal.
