Dear Friends at Navata School
Our Topper and Wayfarer classes (Years 1 and2) have been down to our local farm to make dens as part of our structures topic. We have also included some information about Remembrance Day that we hope you find interesting.
Remembrance Day celebrates the end of the First World War.
The war ended on the 11th November 1918.
At 11am on the 11th of November we think about all the soldiers who died in the first
world war and the second world war, we also think about those who are fighting today.
Remembrance events are held in towns and cities on the 2nd Sunday in November at
11am.
KS2 children go to the war memorial in the village to lay flowers.
Lots of people wear poppies as a symbol ofremembrance, this is because poppies grew
in the battle fields.
What have you been up to?
From all you friends at Tollesbury School.
