Snapshots of Student Success

Nicole followed a strong STEM pathway at Sixth Form and is studying A-Level Mathematics, Further

Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. Nicole was delighted to gain the

highest score in the University of Cambridge Chemistry

Challenge and this bodes well for her next steps.

“I love natural sciences and on the back of my Year 12

grades, I am applying to the University of Oxford to read Chemistry. Sixth

Form has been fun, really interesting and

has helped set me up for my future

study and career.”

Craig wants to study at a Russell Group university when he leaves in summer 2017. On the back of

his very good grades at the end of Year 12 in Economics and

Business he is applying to the University of Sheffield to

Arkwright Scholar. She has since been chosen to represent the UK at a global

STEM conference in Mexico.

me win an Arkwright Scholarship. I want to take

my STEM learning further and have applied to

study Aerospace Engineering at the

University of Sheffield.”
