    The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Preparation course is designed to help non-native English speakers understand and improve their scores on paper-based (PBT) and Internet-based (iBT) TOEFL tests. The tests are widely used as comprehensive assessments of language proficiency for English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) learners. All skills listening, speaking, reading, and writing will be covered with special emphasis on grammar for all test forms. Results of the end-of-semester paper-

    based test can be used for admission to WSU. Included in the course are:

    Pre- and post-testing for each of the three sections of the test

    Instruction in test-taking strategies

    Instruction and review of grammar

    Instruction in listening and reading comprehension

    On-line writing assessment (optional)

    Remote-access language lab with teacher-made materials not available in textbooks

    Exit PBT TOEFL to be used for WSU admission
