The expected stages of a narrative

Like most narratives there is a beginning, middle and end. Todorov’s 5 stages of narrative are:1. A state of equilibrium2. A disruption of that order3. The recognition that the order has been disrupted4. An attempt to repair the damage5. A state of new equilibrium

This type of narrative structure is commonly seen throughout many films. It is easily recognisable and familiar.
