WORSHIP SERMON NOTES SERMON DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
We Are Loved and We Are Family
Isaiah 42:1-9 and Matthew 3:13-17
Read the texts for today and reflect on the following questions.
How do you define “family”? What are the blessings of being part of a
family? What are the challenges?
How would you describe the difference between membership and
discipleship?
Why is it significant that God says “This is my Son, the Beloved, with
whom I am well pleased.” before Jesus begins his public ministry?
How does today’s sermon challenge you to grow in your relationship
with Christ and His Church?
In light of, and in response to God’s grace in your life, how might you
choose to respond or live differently in relationship to other believers
and members of the Body of Christ/the Church?
