Charleston Warming CenterThe city of Charleston will operate a warming center
this winter and hopes to benefit from Hibben's years of experience with this brand new venture. Anyone interested
in volunteering for this effort is encouraged to contact Rev. Walter Strawther at [email protected] or at
(843) 696-8072 for more information about the requirements the city has established for participants.
If you'd like to donate to the shelter, the greatest needs right now are socks and underwear including some for
children. They will also take coats, but have enough blankets. Due to limited storage space, people are asked to call the center to ensure the staff is available to receive their donations. Contact Chris Jardin at (843) 607-8570 or at [email protected]. Donations can be delivered
to the Arthur Christopher Center at 265 Fishburne St., Downtown Charleston.
