TheQueenslandgroupyouask?QueenslandnowhasastatespecificcommitteefortheIStructEthatsitsunderthenationalAustralianRegionalGroup(ARG).MembersofthiscommitteehavebeenquietlyactiveinprovidinganumberofactivitiesinQueenslandasoutlinedfurtherbelow.

InthisnewsletterwewilloutlinethegreatworkourYoungMembersGrouphasachieved,remindmembersofIStructEbeinganRPEQassessmentagencyandupdateyouontheactivitiesin2017todateaswellasthoseplanned.

Withafewachievementsunderourbeltfor2017weareactivelyplanningfor2018andwelcomeanycomments,ideasorfeedbackyouhave.

TheYMQgrouphaveverymuchbeenthequietachieversfor2017asdirectedbythecommitteeofTrentByrne(Chair),SusannaWills(Secretary),LiamSherman(Treasurer)andLaurenBest(CommunicationsOfficer)underthestewardshipofTobyHodsdon.

• AsitetourofBrisbane’slargestandmosticonicresidentialapartmentdevelopments,‘FV’comprisingoftwobuildingsnamedFlatironandValleyHouse,currentlyunderconstructionbyMultiplex.

• AttendingtheUniversityofQueenslandtopresenttostudentsonIStructEandtakingthemthroughallthebenefitsthatcomewithmembershipandthechartershiproute.

• AcareerProgressionandDevelopmentPaneleventheldatArupwith3speakerscoveringthecrosssectionofGraduate,AssociateandPracticeManagersprovidingcommentaryontheircareers.
