The DM550 modem is the new version of the DM530 modem used for over ten years in remote management, remote control and remote reading systems for the transfer of data on 2G network in about one million units all currently alive and kicking.

DM550 brings the evolution of operating in the 3G network while guaranteeing 100% retrofit both with its previous version, DM530, and towards any modem for remote reading.DM550 is designed to be used in connection with a generic Data Terminal Equipment through its serial port and thus to enable data communication on a GSM / GPRS / UMTS network with one or more control centers.Also DM550 is ENEL approved to operate in this type of system and maintains the very high reliability characteristics: its very high lifetime rate, even in extreme conditions, totally eliminates the need for field interventions after its first installation.DM550 has IP54 protection and is specifically designed to be installed in electrical distribution control booths or close to large user electricity meters.

DM550 is a new modem but with the same strength and reliability as ever.
