May 31 - Depart USA

June 1 - Arrive in Rome - CatacombsArrive in Rome. This afternoon begin your prayer pilgrimage at theBasilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. The present structurestands over the place where Emperor Constantine built the firstchurch over the grave of Paul the Apostle. Step beneath thesurface into the Catacombs of Callixtus, built along the AppianWay. You’ll also visit San Sebastian Outside the Walls.

June 2 - Vatican Rome Enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful Vatican Museums, whichhouses a world renowned collection of art and antiquities. Thetour will include the Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo painted theceiling of the between 1508 and 1512, and later painted The LastJudgment. Then walk through St. Peter’s Basilica, built over theByzantine and Middle Ages structures that marked the tomb ofthe Apostle Peter. Finish the day at the Pantheon, built by MarcusAgrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 BC to 14 AD). EmperorHadrian rebuilt it around 126 AD.

June 3 - Ancient RomeThis morning we explore the many wonders of ancient Rome,visiting the magnificent Colosseum. From the most sacred hill ofancient Rome, Campidoglio, view the Forum. See the CircusMaximus, Arch of Titus, famous Baths of Caracalla and Arch ofConstantine as well as the Victor Emanuel Monument and theMonti Region, Rome’s most ancient neighborhood which spreadsover three of her seven hills. This afternoon is free to explore onyour own or rest for the overnight prayer vigil that will be held thisevening. In the evening, we’ll gather in unity and peace with tensof thousands of Spirit-filled Christians from around the world foran overnight prayer vigil in St. Peter’s Square. We will praythroughout the night for God to pour out His Holy Spirit upon us,and to usher in a world-wide revival.

June 4 - Pentecost SundayThis morning we are invited to join our Catholic brothers andsisters in Christ as Pope Francis celebrates Mass for theSolemnity of Pentecost, in St Peter's Basilica at 10:00 am. Thisafternoon is free to explore on your own.

June 5 - Return home or take an extension to Israel.

Prayer Pilgrimage to RomeThe outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost launched the global ministry of the Church. On that day, the Apostle Peter called upon everyonegathered in Jerusalem to repent, be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. God’s people have always been a spiritually gifted and empoweredpeople. The Catholic Charismatic Renewal finds its roots in a retreat held at The Ark and the Dove Retreat House, just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvaniain 1967. Pentecost 2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Pope Francis, a Spirit-filled Charismatic Catholic, is inviting other Spirit-filled believers in Jesus from every denomination and land to gather in Rome forPentecost 2017 to share in a special overnight prayer vigil to ask God for another great outpouring of His Holy Spirit across the entire world! Come jointhousands of Spirit-filled believers as we join together to lift up the Name of Jesus and pray for powerful global revival.

June 5 - The GalileeFly from Rome to Tel Aviv. Spend the day in Galilee. Worship as you sail across theSea of Galilee. Visit Capernaum, center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee, and visit thesynagogue built on the site where Jesus taught (Matt.4:13, 23). On the Mount ofBeatitudes, contemplate the “Sermon on the Mount” (Matt. 5-7). Explore the Churchof the Fish and the Loaves at Tabgha, traditional site of the feeding of the 5,000 (Luke9:10). See the Chapel of the Primacy, where Peter professed his devotion three timesto the risen Christ (John 21). In Magdala, once home to Mary Magdalene, visit arecently discovered first-century synagogue, where we will celebrate communion ina chapel by the Sea of Galilee. Recall Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist at the JordanRiver and have the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River.

June 6 - Cana, Nazareth, Megiddo & Caesarea Visit the Chapel in Cana, site of Jesus’ first miracle, before continuing on to Nazareth,Jesus’ boyhood home (Matthew 2:23). Look out over Tel Megiddo (Armageddon) toview one of the most important archaeological sites in Israel. Today’s last stop isCaesarea, a center of the early Christians where an angel visited Cornelius, the firstGentile believer (Acts 10), and where Paul was imprisoned for two years beforeappealing to Caesar.

June 7 - Jericho, Qumran & Masada Travel to Jericho to view the ruins of the city conquered by Joshua (Josh. 6: 1, 2, 20),in the distance you can also see the traditional site of the Temptation of Jesus (Matt.4:1-11). Continue to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947.This afternoon, explore Masada and the Dead Sea. Ascend by cable car to Masada,Herod’s legendary mountaintop fortress which became the last desperate strongholdof theJewish Zealots against the Romans. You can still look down on the remains ofthe Roman camps and the siege ramp below. End your day with a dip in the salt andmineral-laden waters of the Dead Sea.

June 8 - Jerusalem & Bethlehem Explore the poignant exhibits of Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial, and thenvisit the Friends of Zion Museum, which highlights the role Christians have played inhelping establish and preserve the nation of Israel. Pray in the Garden of Gethsemaneand envision the scenes of the night before Jesus’ crucifixion (Matt. 26: 36 - 44).Continue to Mount Zion to visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas, where Jesuswas questioned the night of His betrayal (Matt. 26: 57). Meditate on the events ofthe Last Supper as you visit St. Mark's Syrian Orthodox Monastery Church, built onthe ancient site believed to be the house of Mary, mother of John Mark, writer of thesecond gospel (Acts 12:12) and the place of the Last Supper of Christ with Hisdisciples and the original outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. (Mark 14: 12).Finish with evening prayer and communion at Christ Church, the oldest Protestantchurch in the Middle East.

June 9 - Jerusalem & the Old City Begin your day with a group picture taken from the Mount of Olives, where Jesusascended into heaven (Acts 1: 9-12). Walk the Cardo, the ancient main street of theOld City. Explore the Teaching Steps at the Temple Mount. View the Pool of Bethesdawhere Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle (John 5: 1-31). Sing a hymn in the Churchof St. Anne and experience its rich acoustics. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress, and followthe historic Via Dolorosa ("the Way of the Cross") to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.Afterwards, we will visit an ancient site outside of the Jaffa Gate and consider therole Herod’s Palace may have played in the trial of Jesus. This evening visit the Kotelfor Shabbat celebration.

June 10 - JerusalemTravel to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist and where Mary visited Elizabeth(Luke 1: 26-40). In Bethlehem, visit the cave revered as Jesus’ birthplace and seethe Church of the Nativity constructed over the site (Matt. 1: 18-25). Gaze out overShepherds’ Field before returning to Jerusalem. Visit the Garden Tomb for a time ofreflection and our final communion service.

June 11 - Return to the USA
