every day• Please sign your initials on the sign-in sheet on
Mrs. V.’s desk• You will have assigned seats• Please ask permission before leaving the room and
sign out on clipboard on Mrs. V.’s desko Only one student permitted out of the room at a time
Classroom Expectations• If you are going to be absent, you need to “call in” to notify Mrs. V.

• “calling in” needs to happen before the start of your class or will be considered an ‘unexcused absence’
• You will be expected to complete missed work the day you return unless special arrangements have been made with Mrs. VanderWall
Cell Phones• Cell phones will only be used for classroom activities as instructed
by Mrs. VanderWall• Cell phones must remain out of sight when they are not permitted

• A cell phone charging station will be provided for your useo Cell phones being charged are not to be checked during class timeso If using the charger, you may pick up your phone after class
• Mrs. VanderWall will give 5 minute break times in which you can check your phones
Responsible Thinking Center (RTC)
• A violation to classroom expectations will result in a referral to the Responsible Thinking Center
• When there, students work with another teacher to devise a plan for improved behavior upon returning back to class
• Student “plans” must be approved by instructor before student is welcome back in the classroom
• Some “plans” require revision by the student
