Let us study the following sentences.

The old man is very weak. He can not walk.

The above two sentences talk about the old man’s condition. We can join the above two sentences and rewrite as:

The old man is very weak so he can not walk.

The old man is very weak therefore he can not walk.

Now let us do some more examples:

He is very young. He can not vote.

He is very young so he can not vote.

He is very young therefore he can not vote.

The box was very heavy. I could not lift.

The box was very heavy so I could not lift.

The box was very heavy therefore I could not lift.

The baby is very young. It can not talk.

The baby is very young so it can not talk.

The house was very old. We could not live in it.

The house was very old so we could not live in it.

The house was very old therefore we could not live in it.
