Implication(s) of Trekking Camp
In this camp 152 students from 8 universities were participated. In the Five days of trekking camp
students learned, practiced and adopted the Expedition techniques taught to them during the event. In
such event it helps students a lot in their physical as well as mental capabilities. Learning from first-
hand information through keen observation at the field is much important in making the subject
unforgettable and long-life understanding (called it as Pragmatic Learning). Such practical activity is
used for relating the concepts with actual life of the students. Thus the camp organized with the
objectives at Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary proved to be extremely helpful to the
students in understanding various aspects of trekking. Moreover, the camp would certainly help the
students to develop interest in the field of disaster management and allied fields.
