•Facilitators guide teams through the art of
emergence—constantly assessing and responding
to team needs and providing the right combination
of inspiration, stimulation and boundaries.
•An extensive knowledge of teams and human
interaction is combined with a distinctive network
of provocative speakers to immerse teams in a
customized experience that allows them to stretch
their thinking, make unexpected connections, and
expand their perspectives.
•Successful sessions have proven that breakthrough
thinking and innovation is a by-product of a highly
connected and well-functioning team.
•Teams are exposed to diverse ideas and methods
that cause them to think differently about their
challenge and themselves. The teams are then
guided through ways to illuminate, solve and
manifest generative solutions.
•To stimulate integrated thinking, sessions may
leverage the power of relationships, the patterns
of nature, and/or the latest in neurological
research. Other sessions may focus on building
openness and compassion to helps teams see their
consumer in a deeper way that leads to new ideas.
The clay street project is an innovative resource for breakthrough thinking at Procter & Gamble that taps into P&G’s greatest asset—its people. Multidisciplinary teams from all business categories and regions have turned to this off-site, creative thinking environment to revitalize brands, deliver product innovations, create new categories, and inspire culture change.
About the clay street project:
Founded in 2004, the clay street project is located
a few blocks away from P&G’s General Offices in a
remodeled industrial building in the heart of Over-the-
Rhine, an urban renaissance area of Cincinnati. Being
removed from the P&G environment encourages a
shift in thinking and provides a buffer from the daily
pressures of the business.
Business teams can choose from different experiences
based on their needs, ranging from 1-3 week
experiences to more immersive 2-3 month sessions.
