Everybody had a whole bunch of fun this year at the Day of the Duck! It was from hitting each other with a gigantic stick, to racing another person in the End Zone obstacle course, to watching your favorite teacher or prin-cipal getting dunked in the dunking booth.

A huge crowd watched and laughed as unexpected teachers fell in the water of the dunk-ing booth. Especially our very own principal, Mr. Kolek!

Thanks to the counselors Mrs. Peterson and Mr. Schroeder for organizing and funding

the event, and to all the clubs and teachers who helped out.

8th graders Abby Howard and Gabby Matuke said, “We liked the bungee jump and seeing Mr. Shuck get dunked...over and over again!”

and turned to me and said, “Why didn’t you say so? You know your father and I are always here for you and you know that.” I tried to lighten the mood when I said, “Mom, I have told you that before, but all you said was to look deeper.” And I was right. I thought to myself, Scarlet you did it again. I got done washing the dishes and went up the stairs only to find my fa-ther waiting uthefor me. “ Scarlet, dear,” he reassured me gently, “We just need to try a different path. Bend the rules a lit-tle.” (To be continued)

...“ You really don’t like that guy do you?” said my mom. I turned around and thought to myself, “Great, now she knows! Crap! You should have just told her the truth in the first place! Well, being the princess just does the trick, since now every guy in the underworld wants to marry you.”

“Yeah,” I sighed, “I know I have to try to be the daughter you always wanted, but mom, all of these guys just like me for my high stature in society.” She looked up from the dish she was scrubbing

VOLUME 1, ISSUE 2

There was once a dream

It was such a small dream

The dream thought

I don’t want to vanish- how do I make people notice me?

The dream thought and thought,

And finally came out with an idea

So grand

I can make people notice me and they will make my world

The first Alice was gallant with a sword in hand

She went off into the woods and off to Won-derland

She cut up anyone or anything that crossed her path

Up until the earth was red to show her wrath

The new Alice was deep in the woods

Was locked in like a watched fugitive

If it weren’t for the red path she left behind

No one would think she been and she was gone for good

The second Alice was a sweet and gentle man

He would always sing a song for his dear Wonderland

But those notes they twisted end they swirled

Up until he created an equally mad world

The new Alice was that of a rose

Was shot down by a man who can’t take his own woes

Left that flower blooming sadly red

The one who was loved by all is now left for dead

Third Alice was a child blessed with fine form

She would always take all of the Wonder-land by storm

She seduced the town folks to do her work

She created a strange country while wearing a strange smirk

The new Alice was the country’s queen

Was possessed by that deserted dream

All the people were left to flee

A gorgeous ruler now a body lost and warped

During this two children followed the red path

Had a tree party near a rose bush

An invention from the queen

It was the card of hearts

The second Alice were children who looked alike from birth

Searching for this wonderland on earth

Even though they have arrived not long ago

Older sister is stubborn

Younger brother is smart

They were the closest to Alice’s wonderland

Though they never made it out alive

They will continue to wander this twisted fairytale

4 to 6 weeks to process. Then, they’ll either reject your idea or ac-cept it, and send you the official guidelines for your category. So far the only records we found that sound like we could do are watching TV for 62 hours straight (possibly, it also sounds like a torture method.), wearing more than 70 socks on one foot at a time, and eating 3 saltine crackers in under 28 seconds. Fun, right? We want to see

Have you ever wondered how to get into the Guinness Book of World Records? Well, my friends and I did, and we want to break a world record, so here’s how you apply. Send an application in to Guinness Book of World Records. You can download it from: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com They receive over 50,000 applications a year, so it does take

if there is something else that could be eas-ier, or more fun to break. Let us know!
