Conference Venue The 3rd International Conference on ThermoMechanical Processing of steels will
be held at “Università di Padova” - Facoltà di Ingegneria - via Marzolo 9, 35100 Padua (www.unipd.it). The opening ceremony will be held in the Aula Magna of the old and fully restored Palazzo del Bo, in via VIII Febbraio, 2.
Language The official language of the conference will be English.
Proceedings The full text of the accepted papers will be published in the Cd-Rom proceedings
and issued to attendees on arrival at the Conference with a book of abstracts.
Technical Visit To
A technical visit to Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche will be scheduled on the af-ternoon of Friday 12 September 2008. Attendance to the technical visit is free and will be limited to a maximum of 50 people. In order to attend the visit, delegates are kindly requested to fill in the relevant section in the application form.
Admittance will be based on the date of reservation. Attendees will receive notifi-cation of admittance together with detailed programme of the visit.
Danieli designs, manufactures, installs and starts up machinery and plants for the metals industry, from ore to finished long and flat product processing. With a 90,000 sqm area dedicated to production (part of Group total 240,000) Danieli workshops in Buttrio are amongst the most modern in Europe. Operations perfor-med range from technological steel fabrication to gear cutting and heat treatment and from 3D computerized testing to assembly of mechanical, hydraulic and electric components and systems. Max hoisting capability is up to 1000 tonnes.
Social Programme A social programme has been designed to give attendees the opportunity to meet
informally and enjoy Padova’s atmosphere.
Welcome Cocktail A Welcome cocktail will be offered on 10 September 2008, at 12.00, at the end
of the opening ceremony at Palazzo del Bo, to allow attendees to meet friends and fellow professionals from around the world.
Conference Dinner On the evening of 11 September 2008, at 20.00 a Conference dinner will be
served at the restaurant “Le Padovanelle” in Padova loc. Ponte di Brenta, in via Ippodromo 4. A bus shuttle service will be provided from the Conference venue to the restaurant and back to the hotels.

On-site Registration All attendees must be registered at the registration desk, located in the foyer of the Aula Magna (Room 1) of Facoltà di Ingegneria of University of Padua, in Via Marzolo, 9. At-tendees will be able to register on Tuesday 9 September 2008 from 15.00 to 18.00 and on Wednesday 10 September from 8.00 to 9.00. Registration will continue the follow-ing days at the on-site registration desk.
Cancellation And Refund Policy A refund, less 20% deduction for administrative costs, will be issued for written cancellations received by August 22, 2008. For attendees who notify their cancellation after August 22, 2008 or will not attend the conference, a charge of 100% of the conference fee will be with-held and a copy of the proceedings will be sent after the event.
Insurance The Organising Secretariat cannot assume any responsibility for personal accident, loss or damage to the private property of attendees and accompanying persons, which may either occur during or arise from the conference. Attendees should therefore take whatever steps they consider necessary as regards insurance.
