Tristel Rinse Assure Series IITristel Rinse Assure Series II provides a constant supply of water chemically dosed with a low level of chlorine dioxide before a final 0.2µm filter. It prevents bacterial proliferation and protects the filter and rinse water from contamination.

Tristel Rinse Assure features an integrated track and trace system which enables the operator to constantly monitor the process via the Operator Interface Touch Screen.

The screen shows the current status of Tristel Rinse Assure with diagrams and live data. Handling of alarms, logging data, reviewing bottle fill levels and setting dosing parameters are a few of the actions that can be performed, all under the security of a unique password; only trained staff can operate Tristel Rinse Assure. The Touch Screen can either be mounted onto Tristel Rinse Assure or placed in a central unit where the system can be managed via a Bluetooth connection.

Tristel Rinse Assure incorporates an Auto Shutdown feature. It detects when there is a problem with the water being supplied, shuts down the washer disinfector immediately and gives the operator a fault analysis.

Tristel Rinse Assure is serviced by T.E.S.T. approved engineers. There are various options of service and testing packages, including two service visits per year and a validated CFPP 01-06 IQ/OQ and PQ.

Tristel Rinse Assure Series IIITristel Rinse Assure Series III provides all the benefits of Series II, plus an integrated Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. A water tank, which features a self-decontamination cycle, holds up to 50L of chemically dosed water. Therefore, Tristel Rinse Assure Series III can cope with high demand for bacteria-free rinse water.

Tristel Rinse Assure Series II measures: H744.03mm x W603.53mm x D582.83mm. Tristel Rinse Assure Series III measures: H1267.13mm x W603.53mm x D582.83mm. Both systems are easily installed in-line to a mains water supply before a washer disinfector.

HTM 01-06 states: Part B 2.27: “In some EWDs, a chlorine compound is added to the final rinse-water to prevent microbial contamination.” Part B 2.62: “Residual chlorine remaining in a reprocessed endoscope may reduce the possibility of biofilm formation and growth of contaminants.” “Biofilm formation 2.82: The addition of a non-toxic biocide to the final rinse-water may help prevent the formation of biofilm.

Tristel Rinse Assure is effective in reducing high levels of microbiological contamination. Dosage levels can be altered depending on the expected bioburden. Tristel Rinse Assure is installed in-line to a mains water supply before a washer disinfector (WD). It doses precisely in relation to the amount of water flowing through Tristel Rinse Assure.

Tristel Rinse Assure doses low levels of Tristel’s proprietary chlorine dioxide chemistry into the water used during a washer disinfector’s decontamination process. This powerful biocide is generated by mixing Tristel Base (a citric acid solution) and Tristel Activator (a sodium chlorite solution) at point of use. For more than 20 years Tristel has been applying its unique technology in areas requiring high-level disinfection and sporicidal efficacy. These applications include the decontamination of invasive semi-critical medical devices such as endoscopes and the high-level disinfection of surfaces within critical areas such as operating theatres, isolation units and intensive care wards. Chlorine dioxide is recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for the treatment of drinking water and is compatible with all materials within the WD at the concentration dosed by Tristel Rinse Assure. Bringing TVCs down to zero at Neath & Port Talbot HospitalA trial with Tristel Rinse Assure was initiated in the Endoscopy Department of Neath & Port Talbot Hospital, Wales, on 11 April 2014.

On 11 April, T.E.S.T. engineers installed one Tristel Rinse Assure to dose two of the four QED WD machines, after five days all water sample test results for these machines showed zero TVCs, whilst the two un-dosed WDs showed high TVCs in excess of 100CFUs.
