    Statement of Submission:Submission in partial fulfilment of the requirement for the degree of

    Commonwealth of Learning MBA/MPA at the Department of Business

    Administration, Faculty of Social Sciences, Allama Iqbal Open University,

    Islamabad.

    ABSTRACT

    The researcher in this thesis intended to study the Consumer Banking in

    Pakistan, Issues Challenges and opportunities.

    All types of financial assistance rendered by the banks and other financial

    institutions to the consumers to manage their personal financial problems like

    car purchases, housing, shopping goods purchases, etc is called consumers

    financing.

    In the recent past an extraordinary development has happened in consumer

    based banking in Pakistan. This unparalleled growth was coupled with

    privatizing the national banks, reforms related to banking by the State Bank

    of Pakistan, and a progressively more marketing-based strategies mainly

    focusing on metropolitan customers. Every national and multinational bank is

    motivated to enter into the consumer banking with highly competitive

    intentions. Well known foreign banks possessing huge deposits introduced

    the products related to the consumer banking for the first time in Pakistan

    In first chapter titled Introduction of Report shows the basic information about

    the project such a background of the study, Need for study, Statement of the

    problem, Research Objective, Limitation and scope.

    The second chapter titled the Literature Review, Theoretical Framework and

    Hypothesis

    The third chapter includes research methodology, Population, Sampling

    Technique & Procedure, Simple Size, Research Tool and Data collection.

    The fourth chapter includes the data analysis and its interpretation.

    The fifth chapter is composed of the findings, conclusions and

    recommendations.
