deslruct ion of micro-organisms including pathogens.

"Shop" means al l barber shops, hair-dressing or hair

and the term shaf l include af l premises or port ions thereof

(6) Convenient ly located toi let faci l i t ies shal l beprovj-ded within 200 feet of any massageestabl ishment.

(b) Personnel .(1) Operators af f l ic ted wi th a contagious or

infect ious disease rn a communicable form shal lnot at tend any customer, and shaf l be al lowed toreturn to work only upon wri t ten permissron froma physic ian.

(2) Al l operators shal l wear c lean outer garments,

marntain a high degree of personal- c l -eanf rness

and conform to good hygienic pract ices whi le onduty.

(3) Hands shal l be thoroughly washed before and af terat tending each customer.

(c) Equipment.(1) Towels, other fabr ics, and al l instruments that

come in contact wi th the skin or hair of thecustomer shal l be thoroughly c leaned andsani t ized af ter use on a customer. Al lsaniLrzing agents shaf l be approved by thedirector.

S11-11-5 Publ ic Iaundr ies. (a) Requirements.(1) No publ ic laundry shal l be establ ished, erected,

marntained, used, or operated except upon a

cert i f icate of the department of heal th issuedpursuant to SS322-42, 445-87, or 445-L92, HRS.

(2) The f ]oor of every bui ld ing used as a publ ic

laundry shal I be constructed of imperviousmater ia l s loped to a proper ly-plumbed trap andconnected to a sewage disposal system approved bythe director.

(3) Al l publ ic l -aundr ies shal l be equipped wiEh

faci l i t jes for saniLiz ing laundry.(4) No publ ic laundry shal l be used as a l iv ing,

cooking, food storage, or s leeping aparLment, nor

shal l any room adjorning a publ ic laundry be usedfor such purposes unfess separated by a Lightpart i t ion having no direct opening into suchlaundry.

(5) The wal ls, f loors, cei l ings, equj-pment, f ix tures,

and af ' l

other parts and apparatus shal- l be kept

cfean and in good repair .(6) Every publ ic laundry shal f have adeguate sani tary
