But none of these things would be possible without a healthy set of eyes. Eyes are the most important

thing given to us by God. It’s the one of the most important and vital organ of our body. Still, since

seeing is such a commonplace activity for most people, it’s easy to take for granted.

With exams being conducted across schools and colleges, exam madness is well and truly here!

Here are some tips:

Eat for Good Vision:

Have these nutrients in your plate-

Regularly eating almonds, cashews, carrot and green, leafy vegetables such as spinach and other oily

Quit Smoking:

Smoking makes you more likely to get cataracts, optic nerve damage, and macular degeneration. If

you've tried to quit smoking before and started smoking again, keep trying. The more times you try to

quit smoking, the more likely you are to succeed.

#Tips 3:

Keep yourself cool and hydrated:

Besides a good diet, you should always remain hydrated, even in exams!

Hydration isn’t just important during physical activity. Water is always needed by your body, even if you

are studying whole day! Water helps to maintain healthy state of mind.

#Tips 4:

Give Your Eyes a break from the Book and Computer Screen:

Don’t continuously focus your eyes on a book or computer screen. Remember the 20-20 rule i.e. after

each 20 minutes, take 1-2 minutes rest. And also maintain an appropriate distance between

book/computer screen and your eyes.

The small rest in between your vigorous studies helps in breaking the eyes constant strain of focusing

from doing close work, like reading or looking at a computer monitor.

Calm yourself and give rest to your eyes and brain. After all, they are not a machine! Even machine can’t

work and produce output after working continuously for a long time!
