Add this to the mineral oil-garlic solution and stir well. Strain and store in a glass container. For use, dilute one part of this concentrate with twenty parts of water and spray.


Hot Pepper-Spearmint-Horseradish Spray

• Mix half a cup each of leaves and roots of horseradish with red hot peppers, fresh spearmint, and green onion tops. Stir in sufficient water to cover the mixture and strain the solution. Then, add two tablespoons of liquid soap and a half-gallon of water. Mix equal portions of this solution with water to spray.


Finally - Mulching

• Mulching keeps weeds at bay. Remember to mulch around the plant’s base without touching the plant. Mulching also prevents winter-damage and helps retain moisture in the soil. Always keep your plants well watered and fed with a balanced nutrient rich organic fertilizer to shore up their immunity.
