    Project GoalTo provide accompaniment and resources to people who are currently unhoused within a communal and supportive environment so that they can sustainably self-actualize.

    We embrace the proven value of placing community firstand commit to ongoing accompaniment of our villagers, beyond their stay at the village. Our chosen approach is strengths-based, solution-focused, and trauma-informed. This means we will work with each villager according to their individual needs utilizing a client-centered approach. In addition to providing our villagers stability and dignity through safe and high-quality supportive housing, our emphasis is on substantive long-term growth and progress. Part of that process is facilitating practice in being a good and productive neighbor—within the village and in the broader community. Residency in the village is future-oriented and designed to provide villagers with necessary tools to successfully sustain themselves, including after they have found alternative accommodations outside the village.

    • Everyday Coping, Communication, Self Care, and Recovery Groups

    Tiny Home Village Applicant Requirements• Be currently unhoused

    • Be 18 years and over (singles and couples welcome)

    • Be sober/clean for a minimum of 10 days

    • Be willing and able to participate in community buildingthrough general village participation

    • Be willing and able to participate in the maintenanceand running of the village

    • Agree to pay the $30 utility contribution by the1st of each month

    • Agree to work with the THV support team memberson personal growth and self-care

    • Agree to take advantage of assistance benefitsavailable to them

    • Agree to abide by the village community agreement

    Residency Limitations• No registered sex offenders or people who have been

    found guilty of a sex offense charge

    • No illegal substance nor alcohol use permitted, either on-site or off-site

    • No guns or lethal weapons allowed

    • Village occupancy capped at 40 with a maximum of 10 couples

    • No minors or overnight guests; guest security rules apply

    Through the above process, we will maintain three active referrals. All active referrals will receive a bus pass and have access to all village resources including the laundromat, computer pod, bathroom facilities, and communal kitchen during the two week vetting period and, once successful, until a unit opens up. They will be expected to participate in and contribute to village life.

    Once the active referral has moved into their unit, a 90-day probationary period follows. Thereafter, the villager moves at their own pace through the Self-Care Phase, the Community Phase, the Good Neighbor Phase, and the Civics Phase. Villagers who start living in alternative accommodation outside of the village, enter the Navigator Phase, which provides them with continued support from and connection to the village. Navigators are also encouraged to share their experiences and expertise within the village.
