Time's Running Out: Heli-Expo is on its Way Heli-Expo '94, the Helicopter Association International's confer- ence dedicated to the civil heli- copter industry, arrives in Anaheim, Calif., for five days, starting Satur- day, Jan. 29, and ending Tuesday, Feb. 2. On tap are a keynote ad- dress by Federico Pefia, the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, dozens of educational programs, HA1 com- mittee meetings and, of course, the ever-popular exhibit hall.

Registration opens Saturday, Jan. 29, just in time for the emer- gency medical services committee

meeting, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is wel- come to observe and participate as the EMS committee discusses a va- riety of air medical topics. Other committee meetings during the five days include Fly Neighborly , Government Contracting, Safety, Regulations and Legislative Advis- ory committees. Education pro- grams during Heli-Expo include Aviation Quality Management, Pilot Human Factors Safety Course, and Powerline Patrol and Wirestrike Avoidance.

Heli-Expo's opening ceremonies begin at 11 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 30, and the general session is Monday at 8:30 a.m. The 30,000-square-foot exhibit hall also opens Sunday at 11 a.m. The exhibit hall will feature hundreds of vendors and manufac- turers , including Air Methods (booth 572), American Eurocopter (booth 307), Aradyne Windsocks (booth 606), Computer Training Sys tems (booth 1609), Devore Aviation (booth 420), Heliport Systems (booth 1316), Keystone Hel icopter Corp.
