PRE-CONFERENCEREPORT Time's Running Out: Heli-Expo is on its Way Heli-Expo '94, the Helicopter Association International's confer- ence dedicated to the civil heli- copter industry, arrives in Anaheim, Calif., for five days, starting Satur- day, Jan. 29, and ending Tuesday, Feb. 2. On tap are a keynote ad- dress by Federico Pefia, the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, dozens of educational programs, HA1 com- mittee meetings and, of course, the ever-popular exhibit hall. Registration opens Saturday, Jan. 29, just in time for the emer- gency medical services committee meeting, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is wel- come to observe and participate as the EMS committee discusses a va- riety of air medical topics. Other committee meetings during the five days include Fly Neighborly, Government Contracting, Safety, Regulations and Legislative Advis- ory committees. Education pro- grams during Heli-Expo include Aviation Quality Management, Pilot Human Factors Safety Course, and Powerline Patrol and Wirestrike Avoidance.
