TUESDAY NOTE on May 21, 2019 Principal’s Message: Thank you for a great 2018-2019 school year! Last week was a very busy week at OLL. Our Kindergarten through third grade students did an outstanding job performing Aladdin last Wednesday and Thursday. Congratulations to our talented students, and a very special thank you to Mrs. Michelle Kennedy, Mrs. Rebecca Daigrepont, and the many members of our administration, faculty, staff, and parents who contributed to the overall success of these theatrical performances. NEWS FROM THE NEST This Thursday, all students in 1st – 6th grade, who completed their Accelerated Reader requirements for the year will participate in a snowball reward party. Congratulations to all of these students! Many thanks to Chairperson Shawn Klein and the Accelerated Reader Committee for organizing all of the quarterly AR rewards. Our final collection and shopping day for the OLL Uniform Swap will be held on May 23rd. See the attached flyer for additional information. If you have any questions, please contact Alicia Dantin at [email protected] or 985-630-7279. Thank you to our Chairperson Alicia Dantin and the Uniform Swap Committee for always making this such a great event. Last Friday, our 5th grade students celebrated Colonial Day. Thanks to our Chairpersons Dianne Romeo and Kathi Martin, along with their committee and the many parent volunteers. The day was both a fun and educational experience. The PTCC is offering School Supply Packs for the 2019-2020 school year. By ordering your child’s school supplies in advance, you will save time and also be assured that your child has the right

supplies, in his/her classroom, on the first day of school. The packs will be all inclusive. There will be no need to purchase additional items through the bookstore. If you wish to take advantage of this program, please see the flyer attached to this Tuesday Note. Should you have any questions, contact one of our Committee Chairpersons, Amy Simmons at [email protected] or Kelly Parker at [email protected] Thank you so much to all of our Committee Chairpersons and Room Parents for your hard work and dedication. All of you have given so much of your love, time, and attention to the needs and activities at Our Lady of the Lake School. Our children are truly blessed by your involvement and commitment. The Lost and Found Committee is asking that you please have your children check the lost and found container, located outside of the school library, for missing sweaters, fleece, and lunch kits. It is very helpful if your child’s full name is written on the tag of these items. The container is checked frequently, and all clearly marked items are delivered to the students. At the end of the school year, all unclaimed items will be donated to the OLL Uniform Swap. Please remember to continue clipping Box Tops and Community Coffee labels throughout the summer. We will resume collections next school year. It is very important that every family in the school clip and save these labels to raise money for our organization. It is an easy way to make a BIG difference! The 2018-2019 PTCC Board would like to thank all of the OLL parents for your support and dedication throughout the school year. We, as a team, have enjoyed working together to make sure that every event and program has been a success. It has been a blessing to serve together to complete our mission of providing excellence in education with the help and the efforts of the Parent Teacher Cooperative Club. As president, I would like to extend a very special Thank You to this year’s board members, Ashley Eilers, Tasha Willoz, Amy Cowley, Jennifer Duvernay, Stacy Simonton, Lindsay Finnan, Carleen Wardle, Rebecca Plaisance, Katherine
