O ct ober 2011
Time and Talent Day
OCTOBER 8th
8 AM TO 12
NOON
Breakfast and Lunch
are provided Peace Church has been truly blessed by God! So, as the stewards of God’s gifts, we pray that many of our church family will join together Saturday morn-ing, October 8
th, to help clean, fix
up, and paint our church home. The main targets this year are
the sanctuary, Sunday school rooms, and outdoor land-scape beds. Bring your favor-ite rags and buckets--cleansers will be provided. Please set the morning of Oc-tober 8
th aside to fellowship
with your church family and care for the gifts God has be-stowed upon us. -The Stewardship Ministry NOTE: For those who are busy on October 8
th, you may sign up
to come during that week (October 3 – 7). Just pick a task off the lists that are posted on the bulletin boards (put your last name beside your choice) and call Rick Rickrich: home 740-756-4283, cell 614-732-1233, or call Leslie in the church of-fice (614-837-6689) to open the church.
Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confi-dent and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fa-
therhood.
While they consistently give their best on the job, good enough seems to be all they can muster as dads. But they're quickly discovering that their
standard is missing the mark.
When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their father-ing. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God ... and
to their children?
Honor Begins at Home.
On Saturday, October 1, 2011. Peace Free Lutheran Church will be meeting as a group at Marcus Theater in Pick-erington to see this inspiring movie at the 6:40 p.m. showing. We are offering free tickets to any friends you would like to bring with you to the movie. Sign up on the clipboard at the back of the church, or let Rebekah Rowan or the church office know how many tick-ets you will be purchasing, and how many free tickets you will need for your friends who will be coming with you. Rebekah will distribute the tickets prior to Oct. 1st. Our group qualifies for discounted tickets at $6.00 each. (Regular price is $10.50). Beginning October 9th, and continuing thru October 30th at 9:15 a.m.—10:15 a.m. , a follow-up Bible class about the movie will be held. All are encouraged to attend this class at the PCC. 8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. The Bible Study is based around Charles Swindoll’s book titled, ―So You Want to be Like Christ?‖ Swindoll’s book offers prac-
tical ways with Biblical texts to exercise your faith so you can draw closer to God. We will study and discuss questions about the ―Eight Essentials to Get You There‖. The Eight Essentials include: Intimacy, Simplicity, Silence and Solitude, Surrender, Prayer, Humility, Self-Control and Sacrifice. Copies of the book are free for the asking. We look forward to spending time together in God’s Word. All men are in-vited for a great time of food and fellowship around the Word of God.

turning to Peace Lutheran! The

your gift. This year we are offering boxes
from Operation Christmas Child, which will
be available soon in back of the church.
2. BOY OR GIRL?
Determine whether your gift will be for a
boy or a girl, and the child’s age category:
2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. . Mark the correct age
category on the label, available in back of
church, and tape the label to the top of
your box.

Fill the box with a variety of gifts that will bring delight to a child. Use the following gift ideas:
