Cliff ord Jones Timber is the UK’s largest machine round timber manufacturer using timbers that are sourced from fully sustainable sources. We manufacture our premier fencing range using machine rounded rails and posts. This type of timber is extremely versatile providing modern and robust fencing designs with sizes ranging from 50mm to 250mm diameter and lengths of 0.9m to 7.2m. Our in-house specialist joinery facility allows us to offer a variety of fi nishes including dome topped, scalloped, pointed, chamfered, sanded and drilled.

We also offer fencing rails and jump poles in sizes from 75mm through to 200mm as well as an extensive range of agricultural fencing components. Our gate designs incorporate quality timber

coupled with fi rst class workmanship and cover every requirement from the simple garden gate to handmade bespoke gates.

Our fi eld and estate gates are suitable for driveways, livestock enclosures and equestrian arenas and can be supplied in oak or softwood.

We can handcraft gates to any design and supply all the necessary fi xings as well as a consultation and installation service, if required.

FENCING, POSTS & RAILS GATES

Timber retaining wall systems can provide aesthetically stunning, practical, cost effi cient and durable solutions for both soil and water engineering projects for private and public developments.

Applications include bank retention, lake and canal edging, domestic terracing and raised beds and cut and fi ll landscape schemes. All of these can be created from our lightweight retainer system or from our more robust range, which can achieve heights of over 1.5m.

Timber decking continues to be a practical, cost effective and beautiful alternative for creating outdoor facilities.

Clifford Jones Timber has a range of deck boards and deck products that can be used with confi dence in both commercial and domestic applications.

Our deck boards, available in a range of fi nishes, widths and thicknesses, are fi rst inspected to ensure minimum knot holes or dead knots. Then kiln dried and pressure preservative treated they retain the best looks and have an assured long term protection.

We offer either standard or purpose designed complementary decking products which can be offered as supply only or supplied and installed using our own in-house team. We have worked closely with clients, architects and designers and pride ourselves in producing results which exceed our customers’ expectations.

TIMBER RETAINING SYSTEMS TIMBER DECKING

TIMBER BRIDGESClifford Jones Timber manufactures superior play equipment using only the strongest timbers coupled with safe and durable complementary materials.

All our play equipment and surface products conform to BS EN 1177.

Our playground timbers are ‘heartwood’ free and we can also offer laminated timber options.

Our range of quality playground surfaces are made from natural wood fi bre and conform to BS 7188 and have been fully tested in accordance with BS EN 1177.

Timber has an excellent natural strength which makes it the ideal material for bridge constructions.

Whatever the design Clifford Jones Timber has the solution to match your inspiration, with custom designed feature bridges, multiple and single span structures and a range of standard bridge kits. Combining form and function our large selection of bridge designs are manufactured to exacting standards providing optimum performance and safety in any private or public environment. Highway structures and public access bridges are designed to comply with BS 5400-2:2006 to ensure total suitability.

PLAY EQUIPMENT & PLAYGROUND SURFACES

LOG HOMES & CABINS

Nothing comes close to a timber log home or cabin for natural, warmth, comfort and durability.

They are quick to construct and their relative light weight often means less complicated foundation requirements. Because of our advanced timber technology our homes and cabins will have a long working life and once operational, the thermal effi ciency and low maintenance translate into lower running costs.

We can assist you in planning and designing homes offi ces, granny annexes, studio facilities, garden chalets or leisure cabins. Through a unique steaming process we can even produce timbers with a ‘bend’ that can give a distinctive feature in our cabin designs.

We also manufacture wood pellets suitable for domestic and commercial heating systems. These are available either in bagged or loose form.

Clifford Jones Timber briquettes and chimenea fuels are an innovative and environmentally sustainable by-product from our timber processing.

Both fuels are made from compressed wood chips and provide a real alternative to coal or charcoal. With a high calorifi c burn value they are suitable for open fi res and wood burning stoves. Add to these our recently developed chimenea fuel which is suitable for barbecues and chimeneas and we can supply a choice of wood fuels with real advantages:

• 100% wood with no additives

• No sparks or spitting

• Burns fi ve times hotter than logs

• Clean and easy to handle

• Creates little ash – ash can be used as a garden fertiliser

• Environmentally sound – products conform to FSC standards

ECO FUELS

In processing all our softwood timbers we add the very latest, environmentally advanced preservative protection that will give you every confi dence that your products will have long and low maintenance service life.

From facilities at both our sites we pressure treat our timbers with TANALITH® E wood preservative to produce TANALISED® timber – totally protected against all forms of wood decay and insect attack.

TANALISED® timber has a pale green colouration that blends naturally with outdoor environments.

We have also invested in heat treatment facilities, offering treatment of packaging timbers to meet the international ISPM 15 standard.

PROVEN PROTECTION

TREATMENT PROCESS

1Timber is loaded into the treatment vessel. Initial vacuum is applied - timber cells evacuated of air. Vacuum held.

2Cylinder is fl ooded under vacuum with Tanalith® E wood preservative.

3Hydraulic pressure is applied, forcing the preservative deep into the structure of the timber.

4Final vacuum extracts preservative solution, which is pumped back to storage.

5Low pressure inside the timber draws in surface solution when vented to atmosphere. Treated timber is left to dry.
