    Chevron Corporation Bakersfield, CA

    Held a systems engineering role in an oil/water processing plant. Responsible for resolving various pump failures due to insufficient NPSHa, incorrect pump sizing, and improper piping

    design. Issues were costing $100,000/year in repair/replacement costs in addition to downtime. Increased scope of summer assignment from 1 project to 3 separate projects. Successfully resolved all issues while

    managing combined budget of $120,000 and directing 4 teams of business partners.

    Learned about pump system design/maintenance and proper engineering practices behind system design.-

    Summer 2010Infrastructure Engineering Intern

    Chevron Corporation Bakersfield, CA

    Led electrical engineering project. Developed environmental monitoring for 60+ radio tower field sites that were experiencing power grid failure and

    providing no notification of operation on backup power.

    Design and field-testing of new system completed on schedule, central appliance was brought online, and training wasdelivered to infrastructure engineering team.

    Gained technical knowledge surrounding network/telecom communication systems, AC to DC rectifiers, DC to ACinverters, and battery systems.

    Summer 2009Desktop Support Intern

    Chevron Corporation Covington, LA

    Resolved over 175 Level 2 desktop support tickets issues that could not be resolved by help desk phone operators.

    Received exposure to wide variety of software and network systems and developed an appreciation for how importantan efficient back office function is in supporting business objectives.
