Track record of successful litigation includes: a not guilty verdict this past February in a felony sexual assault case in Boone County Circuit Court, a not guilty verdict this past May in a misdemeanor possession of a firearm case in Lincoln County Magistrate Court, second chair attorney in three felony trials, 12 plea deals negotiated, 14 adult respondents reunited with their children or had their cases dismissed for lack of standing in the abuse and neglect system in West Virginia, three clients who graduated drug court, eight successful sentencing reconsiderations, six juveniles who have successfully completed improvement periods or had their cases dismissed from the juvenile docket, and over a hundred hours logged defending clients’ rights in mental hygiene hearings.
