The official opening of the new Loretta Lane of latham is the occasion for the smiling faces of, left to right: lester C. Warren, President of the Greater Colonie Chamber of Commerce, Mrs. Lee Hollander and Morton Hollander, owners of loretta Lane, and the congratulatory gentleman on the right is William K. bons. Morton S. Hollander. proprietor, hosted the festivities and welcomed the President of the Greater Colonie Chamber of Commerce, Lester C. Warren and William T. Allen, the Chamber's new Executive Director.
The new Loretta Lane of Latham, now. located at Stop 31 on the Troy-Schenectady Road. is one and one-half miles West of the Northway, between Latham and Schenectady ... "one of the fastest growing and most progressive areas in the Capital District," says Mr. Hollander.
Charles A. Schade of Albany. Architect, designed the gleaming, copper-roofed building which occupies 9,000 square feet. Its delicate pastel interior and ferncircled "wishing" fountain add further elegance to this unique store which offers the largest selection of Bridal, Cocktail and Formal fashions in the Capital District.
An innovation in this area is the individual Bridal Suites which comprise the Bridal Salon on the
upper level of Loretta Lane. Each of these suites contains a private dressing room for the Bride and her Maids in addition to a private Lounge for the entire Bridal Party. The "Salon Sophisticates" which features Cocktail and Formal Gowns, is also housed on the upper level. The Workrooms, Alteration Department and Stock Rooms are found on the lower level.

Also to be found in the Young Adult Section are a great number of pamphlets on vocational guidance. These describe the job in detail, future expectations as to
salary, promotions, etc., as well as qualifications necessary in the first place.
In the adult reference section are such books as "Occupational Handbook," "Directory for Exceptional Children," "Ameri-

On the shelves are books suggesting ways to earn money for college through summer employment and even ways to supplement income while in school. To be specific, the Library will again circulate "A Summer Employment Directory" which offers actual job potentials for this summer.
A new title has recently been added: "College Programs for High School Students, '1966." This lists summer courses throughout the country which are available for the student wishing to study for cultural and scientific enrichment. A few of these courses are a headstart program and college credits are offered.
Mrs. Ann Parrott, young adult librarian, is aware of the need for aid in this difficult period of decisi,?n-making and hopes to be of help as she stocks her shelves with av.ailable material.

derstanding about the Montessori method," one of the local association members told me recently. "Many seem to think -incorrectly - that it strives to turn all kids into prodigies, by teaching them to read at age two, for example."
Advocates of the educational system point out that the Montessori schools teach the whole child, by offering a "prepared environment" in which they learn

The area Montessori nursery school will be located in or near
Albany, and already a great many applications have been received. "\Ve honestly don't need to advertise," a spokesman said, "because the interest already generated has been tremendous."
The association has been meeting once a month since last June. There are also separate adult study groups which meet regularly, and a committee in charge of establishing -and maintaining the .nursery school.
Mr. James P. Walsh of 33 Center Lane in Delmar is serving as president of the group. Mrs. Robert D. Korngold uf 130 Cherry Avenue is first vice president and chairman of the school committee. Mrs. R. Lynn Mox-
