Day 1 – Arrive DELHI
Upon arrival at Delhi International airport, you will be warmly
welcomed by your &Beyond India host and chauffeured to the Imperial
Hotel.
Check in time at the hotel is 1400 hours.
New Delhi, the capital of India is a modern buzzing metropolitan city
with remnants of the past strewn amongst the modern buildings. Much
of New Delhi was planned by Sir Edwin Lutyen’s, who laid out a
grandiose central administrative area as a testament to British imperial
pretensions.
Delhi was established between 900 B.C and 1930. Delhi's famous "seven
cities" range from the 12th century Quila Rai Pithora, built by Prithviraj
Chauhan, to the imperial Shajahanabad, constructed by the Mughals in
the 17th century.
Of the many attractions in Delhi, the major sites are the Rashtrapati
Bhawan designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens as the British Viceroys Palace,
Shahajahanabad (Old Delhi) where the Red Fort is, or Jama Masjid in
the famed Chandni Chowk in the heart of Old Delhi.
The Imperial, New Delhi’s landmark Hotel, is located on Janpath, the
erstwhile Queensway. The restored 1930’s Victorian – style building is
a perfect confluence of old-world charm and modern day conveniences.
Unpack, settle in, relax and recover.
Spend two overnights at Hotel Imperial Delhi. Accommodation is in a
Heritage Room with ensuite facilities. Your stay is on bed & breakfast
basis.

structure to use red sandstone at such a scale. The complex was
declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
Qutub Minar - The Qutub Minar, a tower in Delhi, India, is at 72.5

30 mins drive – one way) for your flight to Varanasi.
Varanasi is a city situated on the banks of the River Ganges in the Indian
state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the
world and probably the oldest of India. The culture of Varanasi is closely
associated with the River Ganges and the river's religious importance.
The city has been a cultural and religious centre in North India for
several thousand years. People often refer to Varanasi as "the city of
temples", "the holy city of India", "the religious capital of India", "the
city of lights", and "the city of learning."
On arrival you will be met and chauffeured to Taj Nadesar Palace.
Situated in one of the oldest living cities of the world, on the banks of the river Ganges, Nadesar Palace has hosted royalty, statesmen and celebrities since 1835. The name Nadesar is derived from the Goddess Nadesari, whose shrine is located in the front of the Palace. Set amidst verdant gardens, mango orchards, marigold and jasmine fields, Nadesar Palace is a haven of peace and tranquility.
Evening visit ghats to witness the day to day activities .The best time
to visit is at dawn, when the river is bathed in a luminous yellow light
as colorful throngs of pilgrims perform their morning devotions. A
sunset boat ride on the river rewards with the magical sight of
thousands of tiny candlelit lamps made of leaves and marigolds being
set afloat as part of the Ganga aarti ceremony.

immortal love for his Empress in marble, the Taj Mahal. Agra is still
famous for handicrafts products such as inlay work on marble, carpets,
jewellery, zari and embroidery work.

memorable experiences. The hotel is located just 600 meters from the
magnificent Taj Mahal considered the finest example of Mughal
architecture, which you will explore late afternoon when the light is
just perfect for photography.
