The tidal energy pathway is to harness the tides, the difference in average height of the seas as the relative positions of Earth and the Moon and resulting from the gravitational attraction of the latter and the sun on the masses water of the seas. This difference in heights can be harnessed to provide moving parts to the natural movement of ascent or descent of the water, along with mechanisms for channeling and deposit, to get moving on an axis. Through its link to an alternator system can be used to generate electricity, thus transforming tidal energy into electrical energy, AND energy more useful and usable. It is a type of clean renewable energy. The tidal energy has the quality to be renewable, while the primary energy source is not exhausted by their exploitation, and it is clear, since in the energy transformation does not produce polluting byproducts gaseous, liquid or solid. However, the relationship between the amount of energy that can be obtained with the means and the current economic and environmental cost of installing the devices for its process have prevented a remarkable proliferation of this kind of energy. The tidal energy is converted into electricity in the so-called tidal power, which act as a reservoir of traditional river. The tank is filled with the tide and the water is retained until low tide to be released later through a network of narrow channels, increasing the pressure until the turbines that generate electricity. However, their high cost of maintaining curbs their proliferation. The ideal place to install a central is a tidal estuary, a bay or estuary where sea water enters. The construction of a wave is only possible in places with a difference of at least 5 meters between high and low tide. The water, while passing through the canal cargo into the sea, drives the propeller of the turbine and the latter, at the turn, moves a generator that produces electricity. HOW IT WORKS When the tide rises, the gates of the dam are opened and water enters the reservoir. When you reach the level of water in the reservoir at its peak closing the gates. During low tide the water level drops below the level of the reservoir.
