• Signed into law by President Clinton in 1999• Purposes

• Provide health care and employment preparation and placement services

• Encourage states to enable beneficiaries to purchase necessary Medicaid coverage

• Provide Medicare coverage while employed• Establish the Ticket to Work Program

Service Provider Roles

• Increase the number of beneficiaries

• Assist the beneficiary in becoming self-sufficient

• Provide the community with access to newly identified and dedicated workforce
