 Author's Preface

The depth and style of these essays would vary widely as they were written on diversifiedissues and at different times over a period of more than 10 years. I posted all these writings

in web from time to time.

It starts with ‘Need of the hour’ followed by ‘Thus Spake India’. Later, I included ‘VedhicReligion’ and ‘For the nation’. All these fourcome under the title ‘Thus Spake India’. All

these chapters talk about India’s vitality; they talk for India’s vitality which is meant tostrengthen everyone’s soul identity across the

world. In this context, India is not for Indiaalone, India is for the entire living kind, for the

whole nature and for each one’s Self. So, thisis not the subject of boasting about something– all those who are keen to know about theSelf have something here to brood over.

The peacock, India’s national bird, is a birdof multicolor. India is a nation of multicoloredculture, policies and philosophies. Learning

about all the diversities may not be a possibletask; there is no need for that either. If wecould grasp the underlying essence of all thesecolors, that is enough. India is here to teachone about one’s true self, about the truth. This

is the essence of her culture and religions.

‘Sathyameva Jayathe’  (Truth alone triumphs). The emblem has these words encrypted in thebottom. Our work also has the same drive. Ipresent it here in minimum words possible. Itake more freedom to examine our problems

from the root and am doing constructivecriticism here, so that we might be able toget the right direction. My idea is not to hurtanyone - but to point out our mistakes and thesolutions thereto.

Need of the Hour

This is my first literary work. I started to write on this in my mother tongue, Tamil, during my teen ages. In 1997, I translatedit in English. Then, I posted these essays ina free web server. It has the fire, fury and

justified feelings of a young layman. When Ilook at them now, in my later 30s, I see myself as a different personality. The natural desireof ‘setting things right’ hadn’t changed. But it

is getting expressed in a different dimensionnow.

In my paper publication of this work, Idecided to keep the original sentences, as they first appeared in the web site. I didn’t editthem.

I just think of the ‘deserving struggle’ thatI took in those days to bring my first work tolight – not to gain publicity or name. I hadn’thad any ground to believe that I might writeagain. At that juncture, for me, it was first andfinal. I strongly believed that this work has the

solution for all problems, which, I believe, istrue indeed. So, I put all my efforts to givesome recognition to it, so that some mighthave a glimpse of it and probably think of thepossibility of executing the points given in this

work. When I hadn’t had enough sources for

a paper publication, I thought of posting an

advertisement about this work with the URL of my free web server. I was working in a smalloffice then; it was an information servicescenter. I started asking almost all persons who

visit my work place for a sponsorship of the Ad. Finally I had one Mr.Narendran Mohanan

of USA to sponsor the Ad. He read thecontents of the web site and expressed his

willingness to sponsor the Ad. Himself andhis friend Mr. Sreedhar Srinivasan (he is alsofrom USA) jointly sponsored the Ad. The Adcame in two English dailies – in the Chennai

editions of The New Indian Express and in theinternational editions of The Hindu with thetitle ‘Wish You All – A Happy New Era !’. Thehighlight is the Ad. came on 1-1-2000 as I

wished and planned. I offer my sincere thank to Mr. Narendran and Mr. Sreedhar for havinggiven a sort of recognition and confidence tothe young aspirant.

I scripted this for our Parents. For ourFather – the Spirit and our Mother – theNature. Bringing of Moral Education andNature abiding life is the message of this work.

The world has recognized the need for

nature abiding life – the need for maintainingthe ecological balance, of course, after gettingintroductory blows from the nature. I feel, similarly, the world should recognize the needfor giving influential moral education basedon love and brotherhood to all classes of

people, before it is too late. If wrong education

can make criminals and terrorists, why can’tnoble education make noble humans? If thisis implemented in the right way, we all havea happy new era ahead. This education willreduce the problems caused by humans…including the problems related to too much

exploitation of the nature. I wish India tobe the role model in bringing this moraleducation to the masses, as she already hasprofound experience in this.

Introduction

Everyone cultivates the thought of doingservice, at some point of their lives, usually in their later years! But, how to start? Whatto do? When to do? The answer is "Do goodthings without expecting anything in return.Do them right now. "It may be in the formof love, sympathy, fortitude, patience or tothe least money. And they helped may bea poor boy, a hungry kitten, a lunatic, an

orphan, a caged parrot or someone in needof some sort of help. Most of the serviceorganisations at present are doing one or moreof the services of this sort. No doubt, we

very much need their existence and perennialhelp. At the same time, we should not forget

an equally important thing. Why people andother creatures are suffering? Because they are either ignorant or adamant or both (orsomeone else is!). Just by taking a baby froma dustbin or throwing a coin to a beggar, youare not meant to have solved the problem

permanently. Tomorrow, another baby will bethrown in the same dustbin and the beggar will be standing on the same spot. If youcan correct those persons who were really responsible for the baby and the beggar, it's

worth helping ten orphans or even more! And,

this is the other 'equally important thing'. And

the pity is that the sufferer himself isresponsible for his suffering...in a way!

All religions, philosophies, doctrines, serviceestablishments, sports clubs talk about theUniversal Brotherhood. And they work for it.But, we should never forget that we do have

a Universal Fatherhood (The Supreme Spirit)and Motherhood (Nature) who are referredin different ways and in different namesthroughout the universe. In order to be aperfect human, we must pay our attentionto our Parents. Then, work for the whole

Universe under Their guidance. If we canestablish a strong relationship betweenourselves and our Parents, then there won'tarise any clashes among other relationships. This document emphasises the need of righteousness and purity which can beachieved through Universal Moral Education...

which is NEED OF THE HOUR.Tomorrow looks good, but why don't we

make it better?Whenever falsehood raises head, Truth

comes and drives it out. Since falsehood hasgot multi-arms, Truth too uses different arms

to fight with the evil in a better way.Sometimes Patience stands as a weapon, sometimes Non-violence stands as a weapon, sometimes Mercy stands as a weapon, sometimes Love stands as a weapon, inextremely worst situations Violence itself

stands as a weapon. Till humans live, there

would be evil ...always trying to collapse themin all the ways possible. A bare human cannotknow about the evil effects of the evil and the

way out. So once in a while, the Truth Itself comes for the rescue, drives away the evil andalso gives the right medicine for the children.

We humans take the medicine and throw themout well before the full recovery and cry again

with pain. A true human should preserve themforever and should see that all his fellowbeings have it ready with them. Here comesthe term 'Education' - Giving material and non-

material knowledge to the bare humans whodo not know anything about the way of living. The matured humans are supposed to give it ina proper way in a common place. Here comesthe term 'School'. A person who is matured, balanced and righteous is requested to givethe knowledge in a systematic manner and ispaid by the society for his services. Here comesthe term 'Teacher'. We cannot assure that allthose who get proper education would go inthe right way. Some may choose wrong ways;it's up to them and their destiny to perishthemselves once for all. But, it's our duty to

try our best in educating the young generationabout the reality, so that a few can be saved...at least.

This is an all-time requirement...

 What's happening now?

People got accustomed to tolerate and acceptinjustice. So, they may think that mattersdiscussed here are unwanted exaggeratedthings. It's not so. My idea is not to list thesins of the world, but to remind the possiblesolution which had been told by many inthe past. What would you do if these thingshappen in your family? Mahatma Gandhi says"To accept and forgive injustice is cowardice".

Ask yourself: "Am I a coward?"

WhatWhat teachersteachers dodo forfor thethe students?students?"A girl studying in 6th Std., was sexually

abused by a teacher.""In Delhi, the flying squad of CBSC threatened

the students to give Rs.700/-. Those who gave were enabled to copy. Others were threatenedagain.""The English second paper of SSLCExaminations was out before examinations. It

was found that, it was done by a school

teacher."For all these 'services', they want extra salary. So, they demand their rights in 'the right way'- through strikes.

Now,Now, letlet usus seesee thethe students'students' side.side.

From a very young age, they are given

extraordinary works (In Govt. schools, it'squite contrary- no work at all). When they gofor a change, mostly it happens to be T.V.But what they see do not give them a break, rather they break them. They are beyond theirgrasping capacity. The whole family see them

ignorantly and wide open their minds toenable evil thoughts to make a free entry. Asthe student grows up, he tries to put -whateverhe learnt- into practice. He starts with showingdisrespect to the teachers. He smokes, chewspan, and even go to some wrong places. Noneed for any fear. Because, 'Education' hastaught him how to do sins carefully.

What about the other students who do not'play' these things? Well. They too try to put-whatever they learnt- into practice, but ina different way. When they get some GOVT.
