A group will meet on Tuesdays from 1:30 – 2:30 PM for those wanting to be in prayer with others. * Affirmation of Faith - Excerpts from The Theological Declaration of Barmen (1934) One: Jesus Christ, as he is attested for us in Holy Scripture, is the one Word of God All: which we have to hear and which we have to trust and obey in life and in death. One: As Jesus Christ is God’s assurance of the forgiveness of all our sins, All: so in the same way is he also God’s mighty claim upon our whole life. One: Through him befalls us a joyful deliverance from the godless fetters of this world All: for a free, grateful service to his creatures. One: The Christian Church is the congregation of the brethren All: in which Jesus Christ acts presently as the Lord in Word & Sacrament through the Holy Spirit. One: As the Church of pardoned sinners, it has to testify in the midst of a sinful world, All: with its faith as with its obedience, with its message as with its order, One: that it is solely his property, and that it lives and wants to live solely All: from his comfort and from his direction in the expectation of his appearance.
