A mandala is a circular structure with radial symmetry, meaning that the design radiatesout symmetrically from the center. It is one of nature’s more wonderful and perfect
configurations.
You can find mandalas in flowers, tree rings, the sun, eyes, spiderwebs, sea shells,seeds, fruits, succulents, and more.
Task:Go outside and create your own Nature Mandela. When collecting material, collect itemsthat may be bright in colour, similar shapes to create the symmetry in your design.Upload a picture of your Mandela when you are finished.
TIP: You might want to collect things such as rocks/pebbles, grass, flower petals, leaves, sticksetc.

How to make a mandala
Step 1: Head out into a natural area andlook for examples of mandalas in naturefor inspiration.
Step 2: Gather together materials to make yourmandala. Think of materials such as flowerpetals, blades of grass, pine cones, leaves, pineneedles, stones, sticks, anything else you find.
Step 3: Find a clear area to work or clearone yourself by brushing away any leaflitter, etc.
Step 4: Find the center of your mandala andmark it with a special natural object.
