Figure 1 [1]Fixing Assembly [2] Upper Fixing Assembly

Cause: In normal operation, the Bushing Spacer [4] rotates together with the Upper Fixing Roller [5]. However, when the Bushing Spacer [4] does not rotate along with the Upper Fixing Roller [5], the friction created by this phenomenon may force the Bushing Spacer [4] outward. This may result in the outside area of the Bushing Spacer to detach or break from the Upper Fixing Roller [5].

To accommodate this change, the Upper Fixing Roller [5] for the imageRUNNERADVANCE 6000 series was changed to a new type. SERVICING PROCEDURE: Service work: When the Fixing Roller Thrust Retainer Ring [3] detaches or breaks from the Upper Fixing Roller [5], replace the Fixing Roller Thrust Retainer Ring [3] and the new type [B] Bushing Spacer [4] at the same time. The new type Bushing Spacer [B] has a convex protrusion to hook on the Upper Fixing Roller [5].
